After 4 days of self-drive safari in Etosha without seeing any leopards, we were frustrated. Okonjima was planned in our very last day of holiday. Staff very friendly and helpful, impressive location, very well organized, with a clear plan of all the activities and maps for the hiking trails. The rooms are huge and with a very large window from which you can observe wildlife grazing close to the waterhole. We visited the rehabilitation center in the morning, where you can see that rehabilitating cheetahs are in very good conditions, they have enough place to live and learn from the brothers and sisters. On the afternoon, we made a 5km trail with a viewpoint, very-well defined, and the leopard tracking, in which we found the collared leopard as well as his son which was supposed to be dead. The guide was very motivated and wanted to stay with the leopard longer than customers! The dinner is very good, not too formal, coherent with the dinner room. After dinner, you can discuss with the rangers before they leave for the night safari. Coffee and tea are available 24h. One day is not enough to enjoy Okonjima, but it was a stunning experience!

We stayed 1 night at the bush camp and had the best time . The staff were incredibly friendly and nothing was too much for them . We were actually upgraded from the plains camp and this was exceptionally kind of the lodge . We have the best time tracking Neo the leopard with Gabriel and just us watching him was very special . We are sad we only stayed one night . Thank you to everyone for making our short stay very memorable.

In June I had the pleasure of staying at the Okonjima Plains Camp along with nine others on a wildlife safari in Namibia. As the group organizer, I had tried to book the Bush Camp; I had experienced its high level of service, luxurious bungalows and active game drives on previous visits. It was booked, so I opted for the Okonjima Plains Camp, and I was not disappointed. We stayed in their newly renovated spacious accommodations with large bathrooms, twin or queen sized beds, and an open floor plan that included a desk and chairs. The meals, service, and over-all friendliness of the staff was noteworthy. We had an incredible wildlife experience our last day- we had sighted two leopards in the morning game run, but that evening, we spotted a third leopard on the road going back to camp. What a wrap up to a perfect stay. Thanks to the staff, naturalist guides, and management at the Okonjima Plains Camp for a job well done.

A beautiful place in the Namibian bush. Great service and wonderful facilities. A great place for a get-away. Staying helps support research in endangered animals.

We stayed here for one night as part of a guided tour. The main building which includes reception, eating area, and a small gift shop is spacious, welcoming, and beautifully decorated with floor to sealing windows. The food was good. There are limited options but that is to be expected for a remote property. The view rooms are very spacious and live up to their name with a full wall of windows. When you go to bed you can see a sky full of stars and possibly hear or see resident animals. There are many thoughtful touches in the rooms. The highlight of our visit was a visit to the on-site Africat foundation facility and a drive around the property with Asser. He was a very knowledgeable and passionate guide and we saw so many animals including cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, springbok, warthogs, and even a hyena. It finished off with a sundowner to remember.

So this place has a lot of good things like: Good views from the room, the leopard tracking, the game drives, the decoration, the staff was very nice But I felt like for the price it should have been better. This was the most expensive lodge that we chose in Namibia. Why overpriced ? No A/C for summer or heater for winter, the food was just ok nothing extraordinary, the leopard tracking was as great but expensive considering the price per night.

230km from Windhoek is this private nature reserve, where we stayed 2 nights in a View Room (a beautiful stand-alone villa with parking space, a bedroom with 2 enormous beds facing a massive picture window, and an outside shaded daybed, all with excellent wifi coverage). The separate dining hall, with bar, meeting area and shop served the most delicious meals, both at breakfast and dinner. We did a well-signposted walk to a viewpoint (with giraffes along the way), a successful and unforgettable pangolin night drive, and successful early morning leopard drive and afternoon endangered species drive (with multiple wildlife sights including white rhinos). A superb experience.

Lodge en pleine réserve. Personnel très sympa. Bon restau et super petit dejeuner. Lodges grands, confortables tranquilles.
