Hotel Neu Schloss Otaru

The hotel is relatively old, but it does not affect its unique scenery, steep cliffs, endless sea and lighthouse. It is simply the best scenery in life. There is also a private bath in the room, and it is very pleasant to take a bath while enjoying the scenery. The breakfast is also worth mentioning, it is delicious and beautiful, and there is champagne to drink in the morning. The only drawback is that the French meal in the evening is very average, costing more than 300 yuan per person, so I don’t recommend ordering it.

I chose a plan with breakfast and dinner, and indeed I can only book meals at the hotel, and there are no convenience stores or restaurants around. The meal is full of ritual, and the taste is still so so... (The scenery is very good during breakfast, and you can see the snow-covered mountains outside the floor-to-ceiling window) Let's talk about transportation. The hotel has round-trip shuttle service from Otaru Station, but I will go shopping when I go there, so I took a taxi. I arrived at the hotel at about 5 o'clock, checked in, made a reservation for dinner, and asked about the time to send to the JR station the next day. Only 9 o'clock is available, and other time slots are full. Well, I can only take a taxi (you can ask the hotel front desk to book a taxi)... Btw: The taxi one-way trip is more than RMB 100, and the ride is about 20 minutes in heavy snow. On the way back, the driver drove from the back mountain, so we also visited the Japanese cemetery 😂 Overall, the experience was good. Although the hotel is a bit old and the location is a bit remote, it is cost-effective. If the wind and snow are not too strong, it is still quite good to take some photos around.
