The Hotel, although it looks a little old, is very well maintained, the perfect location very close to the Royal Palace, very well connected by tram and even if you want to take a walk, you would reach the main street in 10 minutes where you can find all the stores. The breakfast buffet is very complete with phenomenal quality. The employees are super friendly. If you need anything you can ask him without problem. Totally recommended.
The hotel is actually well communicated, within by tram or walking. The staff is really helpful and kind, if you have any doubts or questions, they are always able to help you.
A bit old but rooms are clean and have all the amenities you need. The breakfast is simply perfect, well service and you cold choose among several options. No doubt, absolutely advisable.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Although we were only allocated a room on the first floor, the room was quite comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom door in the bathroom was a little hard to use, and it was easy to splash water. The breakfast room has a beautiful environment, and the food inside is exquisite and delicious. Especially the hotel is adjacent to the Royal Palace of Norway. The surrounding environment is very beautiful. The shops and apartments on both sides of the street have different architectural styles. Every window and balcony are decorated very elegantly. Especially the large garden of the Royal Palace next to it has all kinds of exotic flowers and plants. And very tall and lush trees, I like it very much...

The hotel is very close to the center of Oslo. Everything is walking distance and very convenient. The room was very spacious for my family of 3, very clean and it has everything we need. The breakfast was the best part of our stay in the hotel. They had lots of choices and the food was really nice. I would highly recommend this hotel when you're staying in Oslo.

The apartment is quite small for a family of four. The sink in kitchen area is the smallest that i have ever encounter. Other than that, everything is fine. It's nice for a short stay.
Great location. The breakfast buffet had a big variety of food and I really enjoyed it. The lounge was cozy and staff was really nice.
However, the room is not worth the price I paid for. The room is small with the sink and mirror facing the bed. It is impractical to have the sink in the main room, and to have the mirror facing the bed, which has bad spritual meaning. Toothbrushes are not included, and there is no hair conditioner. There is also no air conditioning, but it is okay since Oslo is a cold city. There are several bugs in the corner of the room, and stains could be seen everywhere. The shower is insanely small, which is not friendly for people with bigger body types. There is also no physical lock in the door of the rooms.
Overall, everything about the hotel is nice except the room.
For our stay, we booked a studio apartment at The Sweet. The room was lovely and kitchenette was well-equipped. We were able to cook meals there over the days of Christmas when most restaurants and shops were closed. The location is a little outside of the center- nice and quiet but easy to access public transit.
My biggest issue with this hotel was that communication was very… odd. As the booking notes, I called the hotel in advance to schedule my check-in. When my call was answered, I told them who I was and that I was calling to schedule my check in (for a time when the booking said check in is available). I was told no one would be at reception at that time (3pm on Dec 23) and they would text me instructions for how to check myself in. Then she confirmed my phone number and asked for my email address, but when I started to give it, she said, “oh, that’s ok. We can’t use email anyway”. Odd. Before getting off the phone, I had her confirm that I would receive a text the next day with instructions to check in.
Our train arrived around 2pm in Oslo and we still hadn’t received a text, so we waited at the train station thinking perhaps they would send the text right at 3pm since that was the time I had requested. At 3, I still hadn’t received anything, so we called the hotel again. A different employee answered from the one I had spoken to the day before. I gave my name and explained that I was calling because I had scheduled check in the day before but hadn’t received the information to check in. The employee asked where I was and told me that there were people staffing reception to help us check in, which I thought was odd because the previous employee told me no one would be there. When we got to the hotel, we rang the bell and got into the building, but reception is apparently in the basement- there is only a very tiny sign that says this- so we missed it and I called them again. A man came up with our keys and got us set to go.
We got into our room and it was lovely! About 5 hours later, I got a call from Trip saying that the hotel is trying to contact me because they are wondering why I hadn’t checked in and they don’t have a way to get in touch with me. I was sitting in the hotel room when I got this call. I told the Trip representative that I was checked in and it was fine for her to give my phone and email to the hotel.
I know the communication elements have taken up a huge portion of my review and I know they are not the end of the world, but I want to share them because I believe it would be quite simple to avoid situations like this in the future and make the guest experience that much more pleasant at The Sweet.
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the hotel overall and thoroughly enjoyed exploring Oslo!
The room is large and tidy and clean, not bad, but the toilet and shower tank are very thin, a bit disproportionate, the body size may be difficult, we booked a 5-person room for 3 days but only provided 1 roll of toilet paper.
The biggest problem is Check-in elsewhere, such as about half an hour walk back and forth, there is only one self-service Check-in machine, if you encounter multiple people or need to wait a long time. The problem of backpack travel is not big,
A large family with lots of luggage needs to be noticed.
