For dinner, I had a course meal (”Yuri”) at a private room dinner at the Chinese food ”Reika” on the first floor of the hotel. It was a very satisfying delicious Chinese food for the first time in a long time. The next morning, I was expecting breakfast at the reputed all-day dining ＆ lounge ”The Loop” on the 1st floor of the hotel, but for the measures against the new corona, breakfast is on the 1st floor. Both front desk staff were foreigners, but they spoke Japanese very well. They were very friendly and smiley, and the service was good. JA Hotel Shin-Fukae offered a satisfactory experience. Unlike most modern hotels, JA Hotel offered an actual key for the room instead of a keycard. The room was furnished with nothing beyond what was necessary for accomodations. The washroom was tiny and this was the first time in many years I had to operate a tap with two knobs: one for hot water and the other for cold. The sink shares the same water supply as the shower and there is a valve above the spiggot one uses to control which is supplied with water. Perhaps my experience was an outlier, but the room also seems to have quite thin walls as I spent one night listening to a Japanese couple flirting and another listening to a pair of Chinese men talking. Once again, perhaps my experience was abnormal, but the wifi also seemed relatively slow as I was only able to stream YouTube videos smoothly at 144p on one of the evenings I was there. As for the location, it seemed to me to be a rather quiet little area with little to do, but perhaps that was due to a dearth of prior research. There's a number of decent restaurants in the vicinity and the hotels proximity to Shin-Fukae Station is definitely one of its strong points. In addition, the staff were very friendly throughout my entire stay, making the overall experience satisfactory.

It only takes ten minutes to walk south from the Mori-nomiya train/subway station. Traveling is very convenient. Osaka Castle Park is nearby. The appearance of the hotel is quite new. There are several sets of tables and chairs in a large area opposite the front desk on the first floor, which makes it feel comfortable. Although the room is not big, it has enough space. It is clean and tidy. Although it is small, it is fully equipped with TV, WiFi, small refrigerator, hair dryer, hot water bottle and tea. My wife and I each had a room as we were traveling with friends. As Diamond, one of the rooms was upgraded to a huge suite, and the other to a castle view. The front desk and lounge staff were both extremely helpful. Every request was attended to promptly and with a positive attitude. Hotel is easy walking distance from a subway line. The lounge offerings are good, and the views up there are great. We loved hanging out there after our day as it was quite hot outside. Would definitely stay again as it is a good value.

We arrived earlier than the check in time, and are able to drop off the luggages at the reception and come back later for check in for free. The staff can speak multiple languages, (Japanese, English, Chinese,etc) able to communicate without any problem. Room is very clean and cleaning service is provided each day. Location is close to Nanba. Very convenient. Close to a metro station as well, easy to locate. Would recommend.
