Hyatt House Orlando International Drive

The staff and accomadations were exceptional. My husband and I only stayed one night but we would definitely stay there again if we are going to Orlando.

Location: Perfect. Close to Universal and Disney. Cleanliness: The room that we stayed in was clean. We had a slight issue with cockroaches in our unit, but overall, was clean. Free Breakfast: The breakfast was not subpar. The bacon was the thinnest my family had ever seen. We ate there one morning and had stomach issues, and tried it one more time just in case. A couple of us had stomach issues and a couple of us were fine. Besides the issues above, the staff were very friendly! We did not approach the issue with the cockroaches with the staff because we had already unpacked for the week and figured it would be a problem in other hotel rooms as well. Luckily, the cockroaches were only in the kitchen area and not in the bedrooms or bathrooms. We did not use room service while we were there, but whenever we needed new towels, the staff was very responsive.

Spacious and well-equipped room! The room had a full kitchen with all essentials, a cozy living area with a sofa and TV, and a bed area for extra comfort. Everything was clean and modern. Great amenities too—fast Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, gym access, and a nice pool. Perfect for longer stays or anyone wanting a home-like setup!

Three of our family of four, including our 9-year-old twins, were covered in bed bug bites discovered after checkout. We stayed here May 9-11, 2025 to visit Epic Universe and this hotel made our Epic Universe visit into a nightmare. Since we didn't know the hotel's email, we first contacted Hyatt corporate. The hotel manager then called us, asking if we had stopped anywhere else before coming to the hotel or used buses or planes. When I expressed disbelief about this happening at Hyatt hotel, he said "bed bugs can even be found at Ritz Carlton." Wow! Even if we give him the benefit of the doubt that bed bugs are hitchhikers, as loyal Hyatt customers, his response was very difficult for our family to understand. Later, the general manager confirmed "positive" bed bug test results, shared them with upper management, and said he was "truly sorry" and would "assist in any way that he can." After his confirmation email, we requested an accommodation refund and compensation for our ruined vacation and preventive measures. The hotel went silent for 5 days, then transferred us to their insurance company. But nothing has been resolved to date. We've incurred significant medical and other expenses. One of my child required treatment and remain traumatized. Before this incident, we were satisfied with the hotel service. However, as loyal World of Hyatt members, we expected prompt response, not silence. With so many hotels in Orlando and numerous Hyatt properties to choose from, our family is too disappointed and anxious to ever return to this hotel.
