Fairfield Inn & Suites Orlando at Millenia

On arrival was told could not check in because res was under my wife’s name. Had to get a new reservation at 1.20 am after 3.5 hour drive. Kid behind desk said she could get in trouble! For taking care of a guest-really. My drivers license has same name and address and my poor wife spent 20 minutes on the telephone adding my name and reconfirming it was done 3 times earlier the same evening. I called my wife at 1.20am and put her on speaker to try and resolve but she was then directed to the bonvoy app to send a message. Marriott used to be gold standard for empowering their employees. It’s hard to recover from a poor arrival experience like this. Newer property. I spent 6.5 hours at hotel. Disappointing that what could have been a positive experience was not.

This hotel was great. It’s brand new and close to the Millenia mall, restaurants, shopping stores and gas stations. There’s also a car wash located next day. I stayed here the week of Easter for 3nights Wednesday to Saturday and I’ll definitely be back.
