Monterey Hotels in Onna

A dedicated bus service from Naha Airport takes you directly to the Onna Village Resort area, arriving at Hotel Monterey in just over an hour. The hotel's front desk staff speak English, so check-in was very smooth. Our room's balcony offered direct ocean views – a fantastic location indeed! The beach directly below is Tiger Beach. The hotel offers numerous activities, which require advance booking. It's clearly a popular resort for Japanese families vacationing with their children. There are two breakfast restaurants. The buffet requires advance reservation and queuing; it opens at 6:30 AM, but people start reserving and picking window seats as early as 6:00 AM. Across from the buffet is the Japanese restaurant, which was much quieter, offering just one set menu (shown in the last picture). Just outside the hotel, there are many restaurants, including the famous 'Ryukyu no Ushi' (a popular BBQ spot) which requires reservations. Other eateries are also good; we enjoyed sushi and yakiniku. There's both a Family Mart and a 7-Eleven nearby, which is very convenient. Moon Beach, with its own resort, is also not far away. Overall, the hotel service was good. It's a typical resort where you could easily spend several relaxing days.
