Fairfield Inn & Suites Omaha West

This was a return stay based on excellent customer service by Echo at the front desk in March. When we returned for a wedding I wanted to go back. This time was a completely different experience. Echo was pleasant as always, it was everything else that was a nightmare. Upon check in, it was discovered my AC wasn’t working as the temp continues to rise in the room. They switched me to another room because there was no maintenance crew. I was moved from the third floor to the first floor..two doors down from the breakfast area. The toilet ran the entire three days I was there and when the bathroom faucet would run, it would smell like sewage/sulfer. Again, not able to be addressed because no maintenance but at least I had AC. The hallway was not vacuumed the entire three days I was there. The same food droppings from people were there on day one and three. The icing on the cake was coming back from a wedding to a foyer full of crying kids and yelling parents. Some sort of mix up happened and people were up in arms. Jessica at the front maintained composure but whomever came in in plain clothes was less than professional. He was literally verbally fighting with the guests who weren’t holding back either. The police came, kids were hysterical and it just wouldn’t stop. The next morning the breakfast area floor was a complete disaster and the main floor restrooms were destroyed and had been for days. This was not a cheap trip. I do not understand not having maintenance at a hotel for three days.

They put me up on the 4th floor. I asked for the quickest room. I’m a light sleeper. They put me in a room that was next to the highway. I could hear every vehicle that drove by. Ask for a different room none was available. When I was checking out on Friday morning at 5:30. The front desk attendant had an attitude. I mentioned good morning. No reply back. Asked for an envelope. Without even looking. Was told there was none.

The breakfast options were great, the rooms were spacious and well appointed. Small but quiet hotel even with a large group staying there.

The facility was very good, the staff was good. Breakfast was average for hotels. Used the guest laundry. Only 1 washer and 1 dryer worked so had to do a load before checking out. But that was ok as I am an early riser! I wish the hotel had been closer to my activity but that is not the fault of the hotel!!

This property is in a good location of Omaha and offers multiple nearby options for shopping and dining. It met the expectations we had when booking.
