Aloft Omaha Aksarben Village

Nice hotel in convenient location.

I really enjoyed my stay at Aloft Omaha Aksarben Village! The bed was super comfy, the TV was large, and the water pressure in the shower was amazing — all the little comforts that make a big difference. The hotel is also very cutely decorated, which added a fun and welcoming vibe to the whole experience. I checked in late (around 10:45 PM), and the young man at the front desk was incredibly nice and helpful. I didn’t get a chance to hang out in the courtyard, but I could see it from my room and it looked like a great spot to relax with family or friends. The location was perfect — within walking distance to Baxter Arena, which was super convenient since I was in town for a graduation there. Overall, it was everything I could have asked for — cute, comfortable, convenient, and even pet friendly! Would definitely stay again.

I recently spent two nights at Aloft Aksarben Village in RM 417, having checked in on 9/9/23 and out on 9/11/23. There is a proliferation of very itchy red bites on both of my feet and ankles attributable to an infestation of bed bugs or other biting insects in the hotel's bedding. I noticed a few bites my first morning after having slept in the room, but many more on the second morning. The bites the second morning were widespread and very close together, reminiscent of the pattern that bed bugs tend to bite their victims in. One other complaint I must make is about a member of the staff at the front desk late in the evening of 9/9. It might have been the auditor, because the evening line staff were all terrific. I came down to the lobby looking for a vending machine or other source of food. I wasn’t familiar with the hotel’s amenities. I said hello to the man and asked where I might find this. Not only did he fail to say hello back, but rather than explain he merely forked his thumb in the direction of the small marketplace. Despite this rudeness I still wished him a good night, which he also didn’t reply to. His overall demeanor indicated that I was a nuisance to him, which is unacceptable.
