Unfortunately, stars are a requirement.
We check in and laid down for a nap, when we got up we went to turn on the TV. It would not come on. I went and reported it to the front desk. They managed to get it on but it had the lines down the screen-someone busted it. She went and got the housekeeper, when she returned she told me I had to pay a pet deposit. I told her I had and was looking for the receipt. She then told us we needed to leave the property. I asked to speak to a manager and they refused, telling me to call back the next day.
When I called ******* and told them what happened, they were right on it. They told me to give them 24-48 hours - I checked back with them and the hotel told them they could not discuss the issue and that we had never checked in.
I called the hotel and asked for a manager. Apparently the manager and the front desk clerk are the same person. She was rude and told me you could see where we smashed the TV on the screen. And that I was lucky they couldn't charge me for the TV. (They tried to charge my card for the TV twice before we ever left the property. Thankfully the charge declined.)
I have since called corporate and have yet to hear anything back and when I try to call, they act clueless.
I finally decided to dispute the charge for the pet deposit with my card company.
