It's just a Motel. It's close to the business district of the town. However, the breakfast is not very good. It's the same every day. There are very few varieties. Moreover, the hotel staff clearly communicated with us to help us upgrade for free. In the end, they also deducted the fee without authorization. It was difficult to communicate with her. I haven't been able to find anyone, which is a bit exaggerated.

1. Hotel was terrible. The room was deemed a suite but it was a cramped regular room with no closet and looked like it had been assembled at a flea market. The shower curtain leaked. Faucet was barely functional and the sink clogged. Room was noisy. Good location but the pool was tiny and had shabby and dirty surroundings.

Loved the antiques and the fireplace. Shower was great and towels. All the stained glass windows around the property were cool as was the view from upstairs. Nice pool and hot tub. Breakfast had some fresh fruit. Great location to walk to town or jump on the bike/walking path.

We enjoyed our stay however they did not reimburse us for NOT serving breakfast our first morning, they had a problem, understandable, but they did not explain why, apologize or reconcile with a proper refund. We had to go out and spend $40 on breakfast. A deal breaker for us and all because it means they don’t care, they are unorganized, and finally this means it is just not safe. What next?

Management is highly disorganized. I called to cancel well in advance of my reservation (due to a sick parent not being able to travel) to be told there was no reservation on file, but i would be called back. The manager Jennifer was completely unattentive and avoidant and never got back to me, despite my calling the hotel near every day, and calling/texting her direct line. I lost ~$1400 due to the lack of concern and service, and I never even got to actually stay there.

This place felt like a magical retreat. I had to do some work there and so enjoyed working at the vintage secretary desk while enjoying the soft light through the stained glass window. The staff was kind and helpful. I've seen reviews complaining about the locks. You just have to learn how they work and it's so worth it when you have the wooden Spanish style door with cute grill over the peep window. This is a place to stop and relax and feel like you are in another world.

This is one good hotel to stay in. The staff is great. I will recommend this hotel any time. It is the type of place that everyone should know about. I would recommend my family as well. It is placed right in the heart of the city of Ojai. It is in walking distance from downtown. Stores are close to this hotel.

Check out their one-star reviews on Google and the way management responds to them. Management is highly disorganized. Very cute and charming hotel! I stayed there with my two daughters for a girls trip and we had a lovely time. The pool and hot tub was great and the rooms were clean. Staff was friendly and responsive. I would recommend this place. We will definitely be coming back.
