Excellent place to stay. Very comfortable soft beds and a walking distance to different types of food places and cafes. Would really recommend Rice Bar & Food for dinner and their drinks.

Remi (manager) was super helpful from the moment I rang until the moment we left (including calling me to let me know I'd left my glasses behind!) My sister had the handicap accessible room and she managed to put my family and I next door, then was able to move us to something bigger. Rooms very clean and tidy, nice crisp bed linen and heating kept everything warm. Large spa bath, kitchen had everything we needed and there was a drying room for ski gear. Not right in town(so quieter!) but near enough for walking. Thank you Remi and co for making our stay so enjoyable.

Booked here by my company to facilitate my attendance at a series of hearings. The studio room was spotless and well appointed. Facilities to make meals should it be desired. Comfortable beds and great shower although shower is over bath. A great two nights.

signs of cost cutting evident; no air conditioning, heaters on walls not connected; extractor in bathroom not working; shower not maintaining a hot temperature, kept reverting to a warm temperature. Comfy, spacious and comfy beds. Very friendly cat available for pats.

Very clean comfortable stay. Handy to town to do The Old Coach Rd bike ride. Excellent comfortable bed. Well eqippped kitchen. Unfortunately the sauna wasn't working which we weren't aware of when booking.

Pre booked this (partly on the basis they had a sauna) while we were in NZ for the FIFA World Cup. On arrival we were told no sauna as somebody put water on the rocks and wrecked it. Really? Room was freezing as no double glazing on windows and heater mounted on ceiling so has to run at full power to heat the room. On a plus side the room is clean and bed comfortable and the beds have electric blankets so you won’t get hypothermia through the night. Also the motel is located in between the two distinct restaurant and pub districts in town so it’s an easy walk between the two areas.

This looked like a modern motel. That is when you view the websites. One of the pluses was the heating lamps in the bathroom which was well equipped. Limited seating seems to be a problem in many motels and so it was here. Also small couch was incredibly uncomfortable. There were padded dining room chairs but they were dirty; pictures attached. The problem with dirty furniture is that you don't know what else is dirty if cleaning standards are not maintained. I wonder if motels are independently rated.

Comfy bed,Great shower,Quiet & cosy,what more do you need in a motel.No stairs to navigate as only ground level rooms and handy to most of Ohakune's eateries. Didn't try the spa bath,but will next time we visit.
