Hotel in the best location, short walk to the place and best view over the fields in the location. Walk and Loipe start directly at the hotel. Deep garage spacious. Rooms very beautiful and spacious furnished. Barkeeper team very careful, service in the restaurant, at first a little substantive, but then also very effort. The ladies at the reception could be a little friendly and careful. In the room lacked bath coat and toilet paper. The rest room was equipped with too few chairs, there was no chance. The swimming pool was very hot and steeply warm and many criing children jumped into the bathroom and careless parents. We also have a daughter, but we wouldn't have tolerated the behaviour. However, food, massage, drinks, rooms all PERFECT the view simply dreamy. we're happy to come back.

Wir haben für zwei Nächte im Dezember im Naturhotel übernachtet und waren sehr zufrieden. Ein späterer Check in als zunächst angegeben war kein Problem und das Personal während des gesamten Aufenthaltes äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und sehr lecker und auch die kleine Vesperjause am Nachmittag konnte überzeugen. In der Lobby waren jederzeit Tee, Instant-Kaffee und Äpfel bereitgestellt. Hauseigenes Quellwasser durfte kostenlos genutzt werden. Fußläufig ist man sehr schnell im Ortszentrum oder direkt in der Natur. Der Wellnessbereich ist klein, aber absolut ausreichend. Schade, dass der Saunabereich erst ab 16 Uhr nutzbar ist und der Wellnessbereich am Abreisetag nur bis zum Check Out (11 Uhr) genutzt werden durfte. Insgesamt ist es aber ein sehr schönes Hotel und wir kommen gerne wieder.

I stayed here 5 nights (11 - 16 Sept 2023) and thought it was absolutely fine. my simple, single (en-suite) room was perfect for what I needed (it didn't have a mountain view but that didn't matter). The breakfast buffet was generous, varied and tasted great. And the staff were friendly, attentive and patient with my rusty German! You also get (in summer season, at least) the Walser Card which gives discounts on a number of attractions, local transport and cable cars - sadly, I didn't realise until after it's also valid at the Dampfbierbrauerei (steam beer brewery, which is also worth a visit..!). The hotel is located about 12mins' walk from the village centre stores, bars and restaurants. I came to Oberstdorf for the Viehscheid (festival marking the bringing down of the cattle into the valley from the high alpine pastures), and the hotel is situated perfectly on the right side of the village for this. Similarly for the ski jumping centre. There's also possibilities for hiking/biking direct from the hotel out across the meadows, or onto any of the other hundreds of kilometres of trails around the village. I'd certainly have no issue staying here again.
