We were staying nearby and booked for dinner. It's recommended you book if you want to bring your dogs. Quirky little bar with a log burner making it very cosy. A lovely lady with long curly hair waited on us, and took our orders etc. There wasn't a long wait for our food as it wasn't that busy. Food was delicious 😋 I would definitely go back for food. Can't comment on the rest of the hotel though

Very hospitable service by the kind patrons. Highly recommended. Good, diverse breakfast, excellent dinner, cosy pib. The atmosphere is great, of times gone by. Plenty to enjoy in terms of day-trips, incl taking the ferry to explore nearby Isle of Mull, Oban, and the botanical gardens, some 10 mins from the hotel, with magnificent viewpoints.

Popped in for a coffee on the way to Oban. We were greeted at the door by a friendly member of staff and brought through to the old bar which I can imagine was once bustling when the area was busier. Nice old decor but a lack of atmosphere. Coffee was nice and had a homemade millionaire shortbread to compliment it. This hotel could be an amazing little spot, but seems a shadow of its former self. Needs some TLC and updating.

We popped in one evening for drinks and pudding .. very pleasant ‘old world’ pub, reminds me of when I was younger (although my kids thought we were in the Middle Ages). Puddings were exceptionally good (esp. sticky toffee pudding). My wife makes a great STP, and this was at least as good 😁

Over priced pub and a miserable landlord, not a bit helpful. Food alright but not worth the price. No food Sunday and Mondays. Lovely little village spoiled by I dont like to say a yorkshire man, Wife tried her best though.

stayed here on two separate occasions over a 3 month period. It's a hotel that has all the basics, but needs more customers, and that would mean more turnover and then more investment could be made on furnishings and decoration... but that's the same with many west coast hotels with low footfall. The staff I found to be welcoming, thoughtful and willing to please. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the showers hot and high pressure even on the top floor. Good value for money too, and the bar food is well cooked and presented, and the locals are happy to chat. all in all a good little hotel that deserves to get more custom....so stop by and help a good business become a great one .....and note I have no connection with the hotel - just a satisfied customer that wants things to continue on an upwards trend

We stopped at the bar on the way to Speyside. They had apparently forgotten to open up that morning and we were the first customers. We were served an excellent chocolate brownie sundae for brunch. Service with a lot of smiles!
