Killoran House

Our recent three-night stay at Killoran House exceeded our expectations in every way. On arrival we received a very warm welcome from the owner, who showed us to our lovely room on the first floor. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful lounge, also on the first floor, with its many interesting and useful books. Everywhere is spotless and immaculate with furnishings and decorations of the highest standard. Our breakfasts, freshly prepared and cooked by Craig, were a highlight, with the scrambled eggs probably the best we have ever tasted. The overnight oats and home-made granola were also rather special. We cannot recommend Killoran House highly enough. Thank you Tash and Craig for your hospitality and letting us share your wonderful home.

We stayed at Killoran House last week for a couple of days and could have stayed longer. First, the hosts are very welcoming. From first greeting us upon arrival and then at breakfast, they were very friendly and helpful. I loved the guest lounge on the bedroom floor. It was great for meeting other guests and just relaxing. Also, the views were spectacular. The breakfasts were amazing. The smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were to die for. Also, we learned all about overnight oats, which I will be making at home. It definitely lives up to its’ “5” rating and we will return.

Killoran House is set high on a hill in an excellent location with panoramic views. It is immaculately clean and beautifully decorated to a high standard, they serve delicious, freshly made food and provide a five star service, it's the perfect place to stay on the Island of Mull, and highly recommend 👌

Located just outside Dervaig this is a very comfortable bed and breakfast. The bedrooms and guest lounge are all on the upper level with the owners accommodation and the breakfast room on the ground floor. Our bedroom was a good size with a large and very comfortable bed. No trouble sleeping here! Plenty of storage and a good size bathroom. Ours had a bath with shower over, plenty of hot water and lots of towels changed on request. If you want a view book a room at the front of the hotel. The guest lounge has lovely views across the hillside to the village of Dervaig and beyond. It had a number of guide books and talking guides to help you plan your days. Breakfasts were very generous with lots to choose from on the menu. All is cooked to order with good coffee as well. There's a very nice garden but it was little cool to really appreciate this properly. Housekeeping is done to a very high standard and the place feels well cared for. Dinner may be offered from time to time which makes a nice change from having to drive. There are though a number of options nearby but do make reservations well in advance. Well recommended for the north of the island in a peaceful location.

I have just been through my photographs of a splendid holiday I had with a friend on Mull during June 2022. In particular, I viewed those I took of Dervaig where this superior guest house is. Well, to be exact, it's within walking distance of the village - and a lovely walk it is too. However, the main point of this belated review is that the Killoran House, for me, is the best guest house I've ever stayed in. Luxury and comfort along with fabulous food and hosts. Looking at the photographs after nearly 2 years is giving me a yearning to return. Maybe I'll make it up there from the south coast of England again one day. The Isle of Mull is such a wonderful place to visit and the wildlife is possibly second to none.

One of the best B&Bs ever! Our room was great and every detail had been thought of. The ensuite was also great with lots of lovely touches like heather soap made locally. Breakfasts were amazing and my husband particularly loved the porridge. The whole was beautiful and cosy. Tash and her husband were really warm and friendly as well. Just a lovely place.
