I went to see the rooms set by Penguin. I was a bit worried about staying in the motel for the first time, but the location and the environment are good. Pros: location is good, near to a grocery store. Room is large, lovely toilet. a small microwave. Cons: Not satisfied with the breakfast. Juices and milk were served in glasses in the evening before the next day and they were just covered with a plastic. Dont think this is very hygienic. Cleanliness of the room is moderate, the linen is clean but we are not sure about the sheet covering it, looks not clean. A bit expensive to be served with opened milk and juices (covered with plastic) only. Other than that, its ok.

We stayed in Oamaru for one night to watch the penguins return to their nests. Although the hotel is small and well-equipped, it is clean and hygienic. The location is also good. It is relatively close to the center of the town, which is convenient for us to return home. The seaside town of Oamaru is also a great place to hang out. The hotel overall is good value for money.
