We took the Coast Starlight Tourist Train and arrived in Auckland at around 9pm. We stayed at this hotel, mainly because it was close to the train station. The room was large and simple, with twin beds, and breakfast was included.

It’s a good overnight hotel if you don’t wanna spend a lot of money and you’re not picky. I will say that the train will keep you up for a while and wake you up in the morning. This was the worst place I have ever stayed. As we drove in the parking area there were old wrecked cars and some ***** sitting in a vehicle in the middle of the lot. The rooms were very old and tattered looking. The sink bowl was painted and the bathroom floor was dirty. The hall way smelled of cigarette smoke and our view was of an empty ugly pool. There was a fight outside of our room and we left in the middle of the night.
