When you book with Primer Inn you know there is always a minimum standard that you will find. No surprises: clean rooms, hot water in the shower, beds big enough for 2 people, breakfast service (optional), a pub/beefeater nearby...
Unless you have the budget for a big and posh 5* hotel, just a good option to safe yourself some headaches

I stayed here from 11th January until the 26th of February because my husband was tragically injured in an accident and was taken to Southampton Hospital for a 47 day stay whilst recovering from his injuries. I booked this Premier Inn to be closer to my husband, as it's the closest to the hospital. And in the time the I stayed here I received EXCELLENT customer service from the staff. I was looked after very well and if I had any worries they were there for me and sorted things out for me. Some days I would be in tears, especially the day we were told by the consultant that my husband had to have his leg amputated. The staff were so supportive and asked me everytime they saw me if my husband was ok and if I was ok, also if there was anything they could do for me. I cannot thank them enough. The staff that went above and beyond especially Shannon Rebecca Laston Phil Marjie Michael They were amazing and such a credit to you at Premier Inn 😊 The rooms are clean, fresh and the beds are comfortable. The hotel always smelt nice and the cleaners were thorough. Highly Recommend This Premier Inn

Beds extremely comfortable. Stayed here many times but on this occasion we were only given 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel between the two of us and the room smelled of smoke - very strongly. Perhaps whoever checks the rooms prior to occupation might like to be a little more thorough. We were only here one night on this occasion but would have asked for more towels if we had been staying longer

Stayed with family ready to embark on our first cruise abroad. Easy to find with reasonably priced parking (£3) overnight. Lovely big rooms and bathrooms with bath and overhead shower. Comfy beds and adjustable heating with windows that open if you need that bit of fresh air. We paid £39 per room which was booked 3 months ahead of our holiday

My daughter and I stayed one night, I researched all of the premier inns in the area and the reviews on this one weren’t wrong. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean, quiet and cosy. The shower was incredible! My daughter had forgotten her phone charger and the receptionist had a ‘box of spares’ which we were allowed to search through and borrow. The £3 parking was reasonable and lasted until check out (even if you leave and come back). We decided not to have breakfast and we found a decent Starbucks that is less than 5 minutes down the road. Would definitely stay again.

I regularly stay at this location and have always had a very pleasant time. The staff are exceptional and attentive to any issues that may arise. The rooms are always clean, comfortable and perfect for a rest after a long drive! I cannot rate this place highly enough

Adequate for a one nights stay but that’s all. There was no lift in the building, a struggle using the not very wide staircase as we had a lot of heavy cases and were staying there before boarding a cruise ship the next day. Breakfast not worth the money we paid the extra for, no cheese or meat selection available for the continental breakfast. The cooked breakfast was ok but could have been better. The WiFi was poor and at times non existent. A plus side was the bed, very comfy and I had a good nights sleep.

Great stay away for New Year’s Eve, close to family we were visiting and car park, although there is a fee to pay now. Beefeater next door is as you’d expect nice friendly place and good food. Staff in the hotel were friendly and welcoming. Nice little hotel

I was in the area helping out my family as my Grandson was seriously ill in Southampton hospital. It was a very traumatic time. I stayed 3 nights. The whole team were so lovely ❤️ really helpful, always with a caring listening ear. It really did feel like a home away from home. I slept like a log, the room was comfortable, clean (although in hard to reach places could do with a deep clean) and the team were amazing. I would stay there again without question, and I can be quite ‘Goldilocks’ about things!

Very poor sleep due to crunchy mattress cover and very hard pillows. Don't believe the advertisement! Booked meal deal as the hotel was in a small village and wanted to be sure of food. The Beefeater has very limited menu in the evening and poorly prepared. Good selection at breakfast but cooked items tasteless.

Lovely staff and comfortable room. We were here for overnight accommodation as had a hospital appointment the next day. The staff were exceptional when I had to return to the hospital as an emergency. They checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed.

We stayed at this hotel on the edge of Southampton. Had trouble finding it on both my Sat Navs ( Garmin & TomTom ), did find it using Google Maps - easy to find. We only booked the 1 night here and also paid for the meal deal - evening meal and breakfast at the restaurant next door. We where lucky as we where on the ground floor - there's no lift in this hotel, it was a hot day & night, but not too hot to sleep - there was a bit fan in the room, but no air-con. As I booked this hotel nearly 1 year in advance, it was free car parking when we booked it. This changed just a few weeks before we arrived, but we did not have to pay the fee. Not sure why they would want to charge to park here, this is on the edge of Southampton in a residential area, only 1 other pub near by and a couple of shops. We did go for a walk and stretched our legs on the Saturday morning before we departed for the short drive down to the docks which took about 30 minutes to do, again I used Google Maps to navigate my way there. In all another comfy nights sleep, no noise from anywhere. Good room as I would expect from a Premier Inn. Yes it is close to the motorway and the airport, and not far to the docks. We would use this hotel again if we where to go on another cruise from Southampton.

We were poorly attended by the employee who was at the counter on the morning of September 3rd. He refused to validate our parking (8 pounds per day), contrary to what was described on the sign that was on the counter itself, which indicated that the hotel would pay the parking costs incurred by guests whose reservations had been made in advance of the date when parking began to be paid. He declined because we were driving our daughter's car. He even told us that Premier Inn had nothing to do with the car park, when obviously it is not true, since it is managed by a private company (Horizon Parking) on behalf of Whitbread, owner of Premier Inn.
