This hotel is just a short walk away from the train station, which makes it pretty central regardless of where in Nottingham you need to go. The rooms are clean and comfortable, although I dislike the insistent emails on the lead in to my visit trying to get you to check in online. Good job I didn't, as I arrived early unexpectedly and was still able to get a room straightaway, whereas I would have had a couple of hours to wait if I'd done the online check in. This is a decent chain of hotels, I've had good experiences in the past and this visit was also fine. Only real complaint was the absence of biscuits with the tea and coffee set up in the room - surely a basic human right.

I came to the Crown Plaza, Nottingham for a conference early June. The hotel itself was nice, modern and comfortable. My room was not adequately cleaned as there were hairs in my shower upon arrival, unreplenished hygiene products in the bathroom and the toilet uncleaned. The room Itself was small, but fine for sleeping in. My TV did not work, but as it was one night this wasn’t a bother. The breakfast and lunch were great, formal dinner however was awful and poor, not worth paying for. Servers were unversed in allergen training, and the allergen and dietary requirement food options were awfully poor. The manager on duty however, was apologetic and wonderful. The best thing about this hotel was the staff (excusing F&B teams poor allergen training and food options). Particularly Abigail, Malakai and Zak on the bar who were so warm, polite and accommodating. Wonderful service throughout and a credit to the team. Thank you three.

Handy Hotel for the terminal. I couldn’t hear planes from my room which was clean and tidy although a little ‘worn’ It didn’t detract from the handiness of being so close to the terminal for an early flight. Nice shower and comfy bed. Kettle and coffee sachets or tea bags were handy first thing in the morning.
The food was ok but not a lot of choice (sign of the times maybe?) the beer was nice though!
The staff were friendly and helpful. Nice to know if a lone traveller like I was.

Lovely location, (pretty village) lovely grounds and impressive entrance. However, we weren’t in the main hotel. The room was large but old fashioned. The roof sloped at the sides which we banged our heads on several times. The window was small which made it stuffy and it was very dark, no main light in the bedroom only lamps. Bed was king size and comfortable. The room and bathroom was clean. We used the restaurant once for dinner and we had 2 breakfasts and the food was nice and reasonable priced. Breakfast was self service (as ours was included) with a good and plentiful variety. The staff were friendly and helpful but professional. We didn’t use the pool in the end as it meant going outside and back inside, as our room was not connected to a covered route to the pool.
Nothing really to complain about but we did expect the room to be a bit more luxurious. Slightly overpriced for the room. I expect the price was based on the available amenities.

The Leonardo Derby is an average four-star hotel, nothing more, nothing less, with no wow factor whatsoever. By far, my biggest negative was the traffic noise. The hotel stands in the middle of the biggest traffic light-controlled dual carriageway roundabout in Derby, where traffic meets from the four points of the compass, city traffic during the day and evening, then the Boy Racers at night until the small hours, not to mention the emergency vehicle sirens.
Ibis budget is situated 16 miles away from EM Airport, 22 miles from Alton Towers, has easy access to the A50 and M1. The hotel offers modern rooms, free WiFi, secured car park (paying*) with EV charging option. Each room features a flat-screen TV with Chromecast, contactless door locks, air heating/cooling system. Hot buffet breakfast is served everyday. The hotel bar serves variety of draught beers and spirits, happy hour is run from 6pm-7pm. The hotel has in offer freshly prepared evening meals.

The hotel is nice enough and as you'd expect. Very clean and comfortable. But the staff here are absolutely amazing. For me the staff have made a dull and unwanted work trip into a pleasure and very enjoyable experience. These girls (and guys) need an award and a pay rise. Very pleasant and genuine, nice and helpful. And as for the food, I've been to many restaurants that don't compare. 1000% recommend this place and these guys continue to work here I will definitely be back the next time I need somewhere to stay in derby. Idk if they'll get to read this but thank you guys. You don't know what a difference you made to my week 5⭐️ for sure. You really bring this place to life... Thanks again 😊

This is the hotel I stay at every time I go to Leicester. It's opposite the High Cross and the location is excellent, very convenient. It's only a ten-minute walk from Tesco. The only inconvenience is the parking lot. One day the battery was out and I couldn't get in or out, so I had to park in the High Cross parking lot, which was a long walk.

Our had booked three rooms for a family get together. The staff were all efficient, helpful and friendly. The bathrooms were looking a little ragged and in need of updating.
The hotel was full and busy and tended to be noisy. We had two disturbed nights from noise in the corridors. I thought the hotel could do more to promote courtesy among guests. Such as better signage - you are now entering a quiet zone no noise in corridors. The posters on the walls were not obvious.
The pool and spa were closed for repair and we were not informed of this prior to our travel.

Excellent
DDariuszA very good location for visiting The University of Nottingham. Comfortable bed. Fast internet. That’s all I need for a short business trip.
GGuest UserRoom very out dated and disappointing, loud bathroom fan that kept me up all night and no plug next to the bed (only on the other side of the room). Tea tray is tucked in to a cupboard with a false drawer so is dangerous when opened as you don't expect the whole cupboard to open on your arm. Breakfast was disappointing, both hot and cold selection were dry as if they had been sat for a long time. Not what you expect for £130 mid week stay. Only positive was the great staff at breakfast who were very friendly. Would not come back to this hotel if I was in the area.
AAnonymous UserThe room is very large and comfortable, the stay experience is not bad, the sanitation facilities are OK, overall it is quite satisfactory, the reception service at the front desk is also very warm, that is, it is a little tired to go out and climb the slope.
RRajaWas lucky to be the first to stay in one of the rooms in the new wing.
Very clean and comfortable with all new furnishings and new 55 inch tv
Unfortunately, I was only booked in for the one night; arrived late and left early. Overall a short but pleasant stay. Would book again in future if visiting Nottingham.
GGuest UserThe hotel haven't welcomed any direct feedback, for 6 months it seems, hence leaving this here We stayed this weekend Check In - lacked warmth and very unwelcoming (@7.30pm Sat) We enquired about pool hours, but weren't asked if we knew where it was, so we had to hunt it down, our room cards didnt work in the door, so at front desk were told to use another door, no apology. At the bar, I noticed barman was making cocktails without measuring our spirits. A member of staff warned him (loudly) about this, he measured some with the metal cup, but as soon as she'd gone, he reverted to adding a slosh of spirit to each glass, unmeasured. When paying for my drink, a tab for my room hadn't been opened at reception (I assume it always is, but we'd not even been asked)- they didn't offer to then add it, so I had to pay separately, small amount, but its the principle and no reward points for the purchase as a result. However, after a bad start, the next morning, front of house were much more friendly and breakfast team were happy, efficient and working well together - particularly Ian working hard at the breakfast bar, Dawn, Tom and April - well done to those guys!
Needed an overnight stop for a nearby business trip. Found this via a third party site and it was very reasonably priced. It ticked my boxes and looked good, so thought I would give it a try. Found the premises ok from the road, but it is set back and I nearly drove past. I was met as I checked in and shown to my room where everything was explained to me. The room was clean and warm (it was cold out), also nicely decorated and felt very homely. The bathroom was clean and also modern. The wifi was good enough to stream and the well equipped fitness room was used by myself. The bed was comfy and I had a good nights sleep. The self service breakfast room was well equipped with hot drinks, juice, bread, cereal and eggs. The only negatives from my stay are ther thin walls, meaning I could hear my neighbour on his phone throughout the evening (but no noise overnight) and my bathroom light was motion activated, plunging me into darkness whilst in the shower. It was only the next morning when I saw the vanity light above the bathroom sink! All in all a really good stay and I would definitely stay here again when in the area.
GGuest UserI really wish I'd paid attention to the negative reviews of this hotel before I booked. I paid £153 for a single night of misery here, when it seems other nights are about £35-40 -- but even at that cheaper price, I'd still avoid it like a plague. The hotel has no parking, and on-street parking was non-existent. The corridors on our floor reeked of smoke, with a hint of ********* smoke. On first glance, our room was fine. Decent size, big windows etc. However, closer inspection revealed: - red stains on the wall, that looked like some sort of jam but who knows. - brown stains on the wall, I shudder to think what these were - the tap on the kitchen sink was not securely attached to the sink and came off when i tried to use it - the shower cubicle smelled of raw sewage - the bathroom needed a deep clean, lots of (what looked like) pubic hair on the floor, and general 'shower gunge' build up - there was about 20% of a full toilet roll available, with no others provided - the bed was presentable, but had long black hairs inside and under the sheet - the sheet was way too small, and uncovered the mattress during use - the walls in the room were paper-thin Additionally, and I can't really blame the hotel for this, next door is a student bar that was very loud most of the night, but nothing compared to the people in the room next to ours that played very loud music until 1am. Not the relaxing night before a 13.1 mile run we wanted!
GGuest UserFantastic stay. Staff extremely friendly, especially. John and Dominic who work behind the bar. The rooms are fabulous, showers amazing. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you're coming to Nottingham for trip.
BBenjamin ArthurA lovely place. We we're a bit iffy on sraying due to the rating of the hotel but after reading the reviews most were about the rooms being dated. Since we were only planning to be there for a night, who cares?
There was an issue with the booking from Trip.com's side which the duty manager Declan was able to resolve in a timely mannor while also making the wait very pleasant with some nice chat.
The staff were lovely, including the two young ladys on the bar/food service as well as Declan. Unfortunately didnt get the girls names.
The building is stunning and surrounded by lovely woods, perfect for a walk.
Rooms are a bit dated, sure, but why are you looking to spend all your time in your room? More than enough to have a comfy sleep in.
Also as a side note on that, id imagine It's a listed building and so hard an expensive to update.
Overall a lovely night and a pleasant morning having breakfast then a walk. Absolutely would recommend.
GGuest UserJust needed to put my head down for the night. Reception was friendly..I arrived late at 2340..friendly night guy..room was adequate for my needs..Room 9 cold tap handle was missing, but a shsve was possible and teeth with warm water..mattress protector needs a boil wash and new carpet would freshen things. Shower was luke warm but manageable..heating was fine..tv ok..1 night fine;)
