The room was small but clean. They asked for a deposit and most importantly, they didn't allow me to eat takeout! I've never encountered this in other hotels before!

Decent enough hotel. 15 minute walk from train station. Receptionist pleasant and friendly. Stairs carpet very worn but clean enough in room. Was offered an upgraded room for £10 extra with bigger bed but declined as I was only staying one night. Bed was fine and comfortable. Hotel is in middle of shopping district with a wide variety of family restaurants cafes and bars. Area was fine and busy during the day but not ideal for the solo traveller returning late evening with numerous takeaway bike riders speeding up and down amd beggars.
