Bennetts Hotel

Visited the restaurant after it had been recommended. Lovely food, really good curries and definitely one of the best I have had out. Catered well for our daughter with a half portion of curry and even gave her a free ice cream. Brilliant service and staff and food was enjoyed by all. Will definitely visit again

We didn't stay in the hotel, but tried the restaurant. We were a bit dubious as there was nobody else on arrival at the restaurant, plus no-one else came whilst there. The menu is somewhat limited, but the food is really good and hard to fault. The building is tidy and clean, and the staff are obliging and friendly, so no complaints here. There's a deal to be had for couples, £28 for poppodums and pickles starters, then a curry and rice, or naan each. The portions are good, so we had the starters, two currys, one rice and one naan, more than adequate. I would recommend!

My welcome was warm and friendly. The room was clean and freshly renovated. The shower was a large rainfall shower and the water was nice and hot. The bar well stocked with a good choice of drink to cater for everyone. The food was excellent, but you did have to like Indian cuisine.

The restaurant was amazing. Delicious food, excellent service and very reasonable price. A vary varied menu and we even had free coffee. I definitely recommend it, especially the seabass. This restaurant is well with a visit. Next time I am in Long Eaton, I will come again!

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful the room are clean and comfortable with on suite we dinned in the hotel twice the food was amazing , i recommend this hotel For a comfortable stay , a drink or a meal you will enjoy this gem in Long Eaton

Under new ownership Bennetts is transforming back to an even higher standard than it once was a few years ago. The new management have only been there 2 months and made such a difference already. Our 2 night stay was in a recently refurbished room. Sheets and towels were crisply clean. The ensuite wet room type shower is separate from the toilet. The bed was comfortable and we got undisturbed sleep. Our meal in the restaurant was well cooked and not the usual Anglo-Indian palette of flavours, possibly because the new proprietors are originally from Nepal and have run 2 restaurants before. Breakfast availability and some minor tweaks would make this 5 star

I returned to my home town as a child . I was going to May Hall Theatre to see Rock of ages the musical . I decided to stay over at the local Hotel . Nice clean and friendly . The staff were pleasant and the venue was very clean . I was welcomed and allowed to my room as it was ready . I have only one irritation as it was Bank Holiday . No Restaurant, no bar, no Breakfast available. Was not aware of this when I booked but I guess I survived as ASDA was around the corner . Loved the room and it was quite . I’d of given a 5 ⭐️ if the bar and Restaurant were available . Thank you though for a very comfortable stay , I will return .

Staff were friendly but this hotel needs a really good clean. We didn't feel the bedsheets were fresh as there were makeup marks and it didn't smell fresh. We ended up putting out tshirts on the pillow cases to sleep on. Splashes on wall by the toilet, unclean bathroom, lots of dust too. A razor was even left in the bathroom. The curry that we ate for our evening meal was not nice either. We stayed here as were visiting The Clifford Health Spa but we wouldn't return, would rather have a longer drive to get there and stay somewhere clean.

We had booked a one night stay here at Bennetts to visit family. We cannot explain the state of the room which was absolutely filthy, we have both travelled the world and also visited many places in the UK staying at a variety of hotels but this was just plain filthy. The room had "ensuite" facilities we have taken pictures which show the disgusting state of the toilet and shower (we did not use the shower) the sink was in no better state. There was dust everywhere, the television obviously hadn't been dusted for sometime...although the remote did not work and only BBC 1 & BBC 2 could be received when operating the TV manually, the light switches were downright dangerous...the tea cups were of odd sizes and only 4 tea bags were supplied....the paint on the walls was peeling...and as fir the bed....we really didn't want to get in it such was the state of it ...the duvet and pillow cases obviously hadn't been changed...the "wardrobe" was just an open free standing cupboard...we did not take any meals at Bennetts....for breakfast we walked into Long Eaton to the Corner Room which served an outstanding breakfast...please look at photos before you book ....
