Stayed for a couple of nights. The ownership of the hotel has apparently changed in the last few months and clearly the new owners are making improvements and gradually refurbishing areas. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Rooms and public areas were fine. The hotel is very close to the city centre. Breakfast was part buffet (limited) and cooked to order (very good) Can’t comment on the evening meals as the restaurant wasn’t open on the nights we stayed but there are a lot of restaurants in walking distance.

The entrance to the hotel is very grand as are all the old parts. All of the staff were so helpful and friendly. We had a suite which was lovely if a bit dated .The bed was extremely comfortable and we both slept well there . There is a lovely new terrace off the restaurant which we made great use of as it was exceptionally hot. We ate all of our meals at the hotel as the food was really good . Breakfast was excellent with a large choice . The hotel is within easy walking distance of the market and central Norwich . I will certainly return to this hotel again .

We dropped in for dinner and had the Friday and Saturday “set supper”. It was delicious and great value for money. All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The cocktails were great too, they can make whatever you want. We will definitely be back!

We had a great stay here with the family while exploring the city. The building is beautiful and centrally located, making it easy to get around. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful throughout our visit. Would definitely recommend!

Stayed for 2 night the hotel staff are really friendly, hotel is very grant from the outside and in brilliant location, breakfast selection perfect and cooked offerings spot on. Parking easy. We did get woken one morning from the maintenance work but it was at 8 so we should of been up anyway. Would definitely stay again

The location is perfect, not far from all the things you need in Norwich. The decor is lovely with an art deco vibe and staff have been great but that's where the positives end. For a 2 night birthday city break we have been let down for the amount of money we have spent. Our hotel room was next door to a room being refurbished without being told beforehand, no mini fridge, basic toiletries, lack of refilled milk and a kettle too far away from any plug thus resulting in having to put the kettle on the floor to be boiled, not ideal. To top it off on our last night we decided to have an earlier return to our room due to leaving the next morning to discover the hotel hosting a 40s/50s swing party that we can hear quite loudly in our room, no prior notice from hotel staff or a gentle reminder an event was taking place.

Lovely old hotel but with contemporary look to the bar/restaurant and bedroom. Huge bathroom and big bath towels, and comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff including Layla and Taylor. We were made very welcome and had a delicious evening meal (fabulous crème brûlée!) and breakfast. This hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the city and handy to have on site parking. Highly recommended.

Nice little hotel a short walk from the train station but with parking too i understand. Really friendly staff. Lovely architecture both inside and out. Breakfast was scrummy. Perfectly located for a Norwich city break or if you're going to the theatre
