Although the weather is not beautiful, the layout of the room is still amazing. The island style is so beautiful! In particular, there are two large heated swimming pools at the door, which is great

My review for my upcoming stay, and you've ruined it before I even arrive. I have booked a room at this hotel for this upcoming weekend. I received an email from the hotel this morning (two days out) to do an online check in. When I looked at their email they had listed a room type other than what I had booked (they've put my wife and I in a room with two double beds, not the one king bed I had booked online). I emailed them straight away but didn't receive a response. I called the hotel and was told that even though a king bed was the same price, that category of room was now full and I would need to pay an additional $180 per night to secure the bed I had already paid for. We've stayed in dozens of Sofitels across Europe and Asia (especially Thailand) which have always been great. This is our first time booking a Sofitel in Australia and the stay has been soured before we've even arrived. We're now online desperate seeking alternate accomodation in the area for our long planned weekend away. What a terrible way to treat people. These 'bait and switch' room rate tactics are very 'club med 90's ' rather than sofitel 2024.

The service from the team was flawless throughout the entire stay. The welcome drink was the start of a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. Stayed in a river view room & thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility of the river aspect to mix up Hastings St & the beach areas. I loved the pool area so much & would go back for that alone. Really appreciated the shade the sun lounges offer. Was happy with the room & the nightly turn down service was a nice touch. Dreaming of going back!!!

My husband and I chose to stay here as part of our combined wedding anniversary and babymoon. We stayed in a beautiful pool villa. The service was excellent and we could not fault the location of the resort, right on Hastings Street. Thank you for a memorable trip.
