Privada Stays - Adults-Only & Private Pools Boutique Hotel

A hidden gem!!! The place was conveniently located and check in was a breeze through the app! Privada has thought of everything, whether it’s a romantic night staying inside or a trip to the beach, they provide you with all you need. Beach chairs, towels, snorkel gear and a cooler… Our outdoor private pool and patio was chef’s kiss. Oh yeah, we loved our kitchen too! Parking was always available very close to the rooms. They have a security guard on site, who is very friendly and helpful if needed ( shout out to Jean)! Even when the power goes out on the island, Privada’s energy comes from solar panels, so it wasn’t lights out for us!!! Staff is always there to assist and check out was a breeze. If you are looking for the perfect stay, book Privada. We look forward to being back very soon!!!

I have mixed feelings on this stay. Initial impression was that is was pretty nice. However the keycard on the app never worked so we had to wait for an employee to bring us physical keycards to access the room. It’s a specious room with a comfy bed and pillows and nice couch to relax on. It was also nice that they provide beach gear for you to use like chairs and snorkel gear. Bathroom was also pretty nice with sufficient towels. Now unfortunately for the down side. The air is not cold enough and the hot water only worked 2 out of the 4 days we were there. Also the plunge pool was a miss. Very cute for pictures but it’s in a shaded area so it doesn’t get enough sun to warm the water.. not to mention the water was full of bugs no matter how much cleaning we did. Overall it was ok but not somewhere I would stay again.

DO NOT book a reservation here! I made a reservation for 4 nights from 7/16 to 7/20. The total for this was $797.54. I called the hotel and spoke with Darren about modifying my reservation to 7/30 to 8/3, and was told there would be a penalty of $150 for each day, totaling $600 in penalties, which is outrageous.

We stayed at Privada Stays Boutique for 8 nights. The good: room was large and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the private pool was amazing. Location is good with a short drive to Eagle Beach. You will definitely want to rent a car! The chairs and cooler that was provided was nice. Towel replacement service which could be ordered on the app was quick and efficient. There is a small grocery store at the end of the block for ice and snacks that was well stocked and reasonably priced. The not so good: check in was horrible. I completed everything in advance and sent in the cc authorization the day before arrival. When we tried to check in at 4:15, the key on the app didn’t work. After 15 minutes on the app texting with customer service, I got a message it should work. It didn’t. After another 15 minutes and resubmitting the cc authorization form again, it finally worked. An on-site person at check in time would have been nice. During our 8 night stay, my husband had 1 hot shower and I had none…not even lukewarm. They were all cold. We sent a message on the app asking for someone to check on it and was told someone would fix it, but it never was and there was no follow up. Our third night we came back and the A/C was not working and the room was very hot. It was after hours and you could not contact customer service on the app. We were directed to call the emergency WhatsApp number, but no one answered and you could not leave a message. After about 30 minutes, the power went completely out. When it came back on an hour later, the A/C was thankfully working again. Finally, there are two locations: Privada Stays Eagle Beach and Privada Stays Boutique Hotel. They are very close to each other. However, if you stay at the Privada Stays Boutique, you do not have access to the community Cool Pool. This is not well communicated ahead of time. Not a big deal for us, but may be for others. In summary, the concept is great when things go well, but it is very frustrating when it does not.

A very cozy and private place..I was in awe with the private plunge pool in the backyard. There is no front desk. The way to stay in communication with the staff is thru the app. The room and shower is Amazing I love the whole interior design. I will return for sure.

The hotel is very nice, the attention to details is on point. There’s a mini private pool and an outdoor area at your room. They also added some things for entertainment (tiny rackets and tennis balls), they even had bug repellent. I would definitely recommend this place
