The private hot spring bath is a highly alkaline hot spring with a moderate temperature. When there are not many tourists, it is almost reserved. I soaked twice. The Japanese-style room has everything you need, including heating and air conditioning, TV, entrance wash basin, coffee table, tatami, and your own yukata. It is very comfortable to live in. Two shrines and one temple, Kanmanzhiyuan, and Shenqiao are all within walking distance.

A quiet, unassuming, and rustic inn on a small backroad, perfect for just getting away from the busyness of life. Staff are friendly and the location accomodates English speakers. Very close to convenient bus stations and nearby restaurants/tourist locations as well! Would go again.

Friendly staff who speak good English. Nice breakfast of fruit, boiled egg and toast for 1500Yen. Appreciated the Mashiko pottery it was served on. Clean and quiet. Enjoyed the private onsens (2). Perfect location for temples, shrines, convenience store and restaurants.

Small Inn very close to major shrines in the area. Reception desk was extremely helpful in pointing out places to eat and where to walk to get around the area.

Me and my husband stayed together here while on Intrepid tour. Very happy to experience traditional Japanese ryokan. Private onsen was wonderful, especially after a big day out walking. Plus in the room there are traditional yukata you can wear to the onsen. There are nearby restaurant options if you want, or there is a communal fridge, freezer and microwave. With a supermarket 5 minutes walk. Very lovely place

Stayed here as part of my tour with Intrepid Travel. Cute place with a nice private onsen (nice introduction to the Japanese onsen culture btw). Beds on tatami mats were comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. Great location just a couple hundred yards from the Kanmangafuchi Abyss. Decent breakfast. On the downside, I've never heard louder toilets. They sounded like a jet engine. My roommate and I agreed not to flush if we used the facility overnight.
