My friends and I were very unhappy with the lake side nikko hotel. The room was dirty, there were cobwebs on the ceiling, the toilet paper was not changed, and there was a huge layer of dirt on the balcony, as if no one had cleaned it. The onsen was very small, so we could not spend time there.
In the end we decided to leave and get our money back. At the reception we were assured that the money would be returned within a week, however more than three weeks have passed and the money still has not been returned.

The location is very good. It is recommended to walk directly from Chuzenji Onsen Station. The scenery along the trail is very beautiful and should not be missed. The hot spring is sulfur, but the appraisal report is signed by the hotel itself rather than the common hot spring association. The environment is so good but there is no outdoor hot spring, which is a pity. There are many good hotels around the lake and in Oku-Nikko, and there are many room and board packages, but Ctrip has very few choices.
