I made the trek here from Tokyo on a Saturday for the Yunishikawa-onsen KAMAKURA Snow House Festival which is only held from Late January to Late Feb on Fri/Sat and Sundays. Tips for making the trek - pre book the Fast Tobu train! I neglected to do this and with the help of a lovely man at the train station I ended up taking 5 x local trains and an hour bus making the trip 5.5 hours long instead of 3. Now to the hotel. It’s in a great location, right next to the festival hub but a short walk to the main centre of town ( which is very tiny). I didn’t pre book dinner or breakfast but took some snacks with me, however on arrival they advised they offer guests free ramen from 9-10.30pm which was delicious! The onsen was a new experience for me and one that I enjoyed. They offer very very comfortable pyjamas for your use while there as well. I asked on check out if they sell these pyjamas but they don’t :( I would have bought them if they did as they were perfect! The rooms are a little dated but comfortable and clean. The lounge area is lovely, wooden fire, free coffee, tea and juices and a wine dispenser with a good range of wines which you can easily charge back to your room. It was so relaxing just sitting by the fire and enjoying the views. One night was plenty for me but if you are a hiker then maybe a longer stay would be preferred. Making the trek back was easy. The bus that leaves from outside the hotel is timed to arrive at the Yunishigawa Onsen station with 10 minutes spare before the train arrives. Then a quick 2.5hours on the direct train back to Tokyo. If you are looking for a little escape from the noise of Tokyo then this is a lovely location in winter epically when the festival is on.

I stayed at the inn that I always dreamed of. The gate facing the main road and the building are more plain than I imagined. Was this the ryokan you longed for? is my first impression. However, from the moment we stepped into the entrance, the view of the icicles and Kazura Bridge through the window was wonderful, and we were all deeply moved. As expected! I have to say. Free drinks in the lobby are also very good. The room with an open-air bath is also wonderful, and the view from the room is also wonderful, so far 120 points. On the other hand, I forgot the room I was guided to, the perfume of the restaurant staff was too strong, and the appearance of preparing in the lobby early in the morning looked rough. The portion is large and very delicious, and the breakfast is also delicious along the river with a very nice view. If there is no minus, it is very disappointing that a first-class inn that can be awarded about 150 points will become a second-class or lower, and I think it should be improved. Looking back, I thought it was a ryokan that I could be satisfied with overall.

I stayed 1 nights (5 name / 2 room) with my mother's cheerful celebration. I booked separately so the building was away, but I changed it to the next door. The view from the room is a great view. (it was still too early for the red leaves and a little regrettable) I also told you that ”pleasant celebration”, so there was a little surprise in the dessert at dinner. The meal was delicious. The hot spring is a source of sulfur, a little alkaline spring. I was able to enjoy rock bath, Hinoki bath, open-air bath, etc. It was a pleasant trip that my parents seemed to be satisfied.

The Sakahijiri Nikko provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Sakahijiri Nikko offers a pleasant stay in Nikko for those traveling for business or leisure. Kawaji-Yumoto Station is located approximately 600m away from this hotel. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Kawajii, 日光 トレジャー ハンティング 川治温泉 and Kawaji Hydrangea Park all nearby. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. This Nikko hotel offers parking on site.

GGuest User 2024.11.21
The location is quite remote, and it takes an hour and a half from Tobu Nikko. The key is that there are few shuttle buses. The hotel environment is good, the public areas have been renovated and are very new, the rooms are a little old, but the area is large. You can only choose two times for dinner: 6 o'clock or 6:30. You can only choose two times for breakfast, 7:30 or 8 o'clock. If the time doesn't match, you can only give up. I booked a one-night, two-meal package, and left Nikko at 3 o'clock in order to catch up with the morning dinner. And the dinner was not very delicious. So it is not recommended to choose a package with dinner.

When I saw the reviews of the hotel before the trip, I wanted to get a good evaluation, but the front desk was polite, and the hot springs were about 42 degrees in the room and 40 degrees in the open air, which was just right. Vikings will also be added as soon as you call the staff. Overall, you can be satisfied enough considering the price. If you are greedy and complaining, choose another hohle.

An inn with a relatively high reputation in this area. I stayed using the ”One Family One Travel Campaign” in Tochigi Prefecture. The room is a 10 tatami mats + wide-rimmed room at Hanami-tei, an annex. It's a very common Japanese-style room, but it's clean and calm. From the window of the room, you can see the TOBU train running on the iron bridge over the Kinugawa River. Especially the lights of the night train are romantic. It may be attractive to Tetsu-chan, but personally I don't really like the scenery with artifacts. The room is a very common Japanese-style room, but it is clean and calm. The open-air bath is clean and open, and although it is not wild, it is quite good. Supper is a Japanese course called ”Akia Gozen” at a private restaurant. Starting with steaming matsutake mushrooms in clay bottles, sashimi, salt-grilled rock fish, and chicken lengths continue. The taste is normal and the taste is not good, but each was delicious. The sake is a set of three types of local sake.

At that time, attracted by this magnificent river view hot spring decided to stay once, and the best season scenery in the red leaves is absolutely superb. The room is very large and new, but the balcony is more leaky. Dinner is not too used to sitting on tatami. The food tastes generally. The beef is delicious and it is a little less. The disadvantage is that the temperature of the hot spring is a bit high and the details of the hotel can be better.

PPassenger807001I visited in early August. Measures against corona I was taking a pretty careful corona countermeasure. I was able to rest assured. First of all, check your body temperature at the front desk. There are disinfectant at the entrance, corridor, dressing room, etc. All employees were always wearing masks and were wearing gloves when they were served (Breakfast is not a Viking form). The front desk was surrounded by vinyl sheets. I found that the windows and doors were open and ventilated. The room was supposed to be not allowed to enter the room to prevent infection, and a tea bottle and tea (senbei) were placed in the room. When I stayed, only 5 rooms were buried. It may have been deliberately not full because it avoided 3 dense in corona countermeasures. Location of the lake, Chuzenji Lake, it is also on the waterfront, and it seems to take the lake in hand. I feel like I can't taste it in other hotels. It is less than 10 minutes walk to Kegon Falls. The pleasure boat stop is right next to it. The only convenience store in the recently built Chuzenji Lake District is the second floor of the building next to the pleasure boat stop. However, be careful because it will be closed at 4:30 in the evening due to the influence of corona. Tsujikenya It is the site of the former foreign ambassador's villa, but it is said that the building was built in the 1940s, not the one at that time. Since it is about 50 years old, it is certainly old and the floor is rusty, but the feeling of retro is good. It will not be suitable for those who expect a modern hotel. Also, there is no elevator and you use the stairs to go to the second floor, so if you are weak in your foot and waist, you should be on the first floor. It was a cherry blossom room 2 floor western room, but less 々 narrow, with a twin bed on the tatami mats. Not limited to this room, this hotel room has no air conditioning, but there is a fan. The night of Lake Chuzenji is cool, so if you have a fan, you can manage it. There is an empty refrigerator. The bus toilet is a narrow bus unit like a business hotel. The outlet is on the wall, but it is not beside the bed, so I used the extension code. The meal meal Dinner time can be selected from 6:00, 6:30, 7:00. Dinner is outstanding menu and taste. Among them, the fried 2 degrees of cherry blossoms (orange sauce tailoring) are excellent. Other menu is also original dishes, and it is much more delicious than the long established famous hotel in Nikko. Lots of volume. Breakfast time can be selected from 7:30, 8:00, 8:30. The breakfast was good and very delicious. You can choose Japanese or Western food. Drinks can be selected from milk, orange juice, coffee, tea, etc., and are free to refill. Rice and soup are free to refill. It was full of volume and the stomach did not decrease even at noon. You can put it at any time except for the hot spring bath and hot spring cleaning time zone (AM10~PM2). It is a hot spring with sulfur odor. The dressing room is 4 person space. It is a little disappointing that there was no fan. The circular bathtub in the inner bath is small and full of 3 people (Karan is 4 people). The open-air bath is 2 people (about 1m x 70cm square). In front of you is the lake and you can see the boats crossing. The yellow sulfur deposits are adhering to everywhere, and it is full of wild taste. Because the source is hot, only a small amount of hot water is put into the bathtub from the pipe. Sometimes, it was hot and couldn't take a bath if it wasn't thinned with cold water. Apart from this, there is a small round (deep) rental bath. 2 people are limited. Free. The white board on the door fills the start time of bathing with magic and hangs the door key from the inside. 1 time is a standard. There are only 10 rooms in the hotel, so it is not crowded. There was a lot of time when I was alone. For those who are weak in their feet, it is dangerous because both inner baths, open-air baths and rental baths are large. It would be better to enter together. The customer service I didn't feel so good, but it was really comfortable with the warm response of the distance feeling. I felt that way especially when I was eating. The response that is not in the manual will say this. It is above the old famous hotel. The whole cherry blossoms are small, retro in Showa, outstanding delicious dishes, warm guests, and (small) sulfur hot springs. I sympathized with this combination. The taste of the dishes and the warmth of the employees won, and I didn't care about the oldness of the building.

The family is in their 30s. The room is large and the dinner is very luxurious. It is worthy of the specifications of the New Year’s Eve dinner. The service is very meticulous and thoughtful. The hot spring does not feel any minerals, but the venue is large and has an open air. When we left, we had a lot of luggage and took the initiative to drive us to the station, generally affordable

GGuest UserIf you choose to take a bus from the station to the hotel, brace yourselves for a rather long walk from the bus drop off point to the monorail entrance along a very rough gravel road (trust me, it gets worse if it’s wet and cold and you’re dragging a 15kg luggage). The walk was far from what I’d expect when staying in such a luxury resort. If I could make any suggestion i think the hotel should perhaps pave the gravel road to make it more walk-friendly? Or negotiate with the bus company so that the stop is right outside the monorail entrance and not at the end of a muddy gravel road. But until any of that is made possible I’d highly recommend taking a taxi from station if you don’t have a car. The ‘Monorail’ (which was more like a glorified cable car) was an interesting feature on arrival. I don’t know if it was build due to geographical restriction (that prevented actual roads built right up to the hotel?) or as some sort of gimmick but sorry to say it’s really not efficient during peak hours and after the first ride it really just felt like an elevator that takes forever to arrive. Once we finally arrived the place itself was gorgeous throughout. From the decor to the atmosphere it’s just a relaxing vibe. It’s a place for getaways and the hotel made sure of that with all the attention to details (such as the meal timings, the seating arrangements etc) to make sure at no point you feel crowded or overwhelmed. The service was great and the staff know limited but adequate English. The Onsen was quite a long walk from our room in freezing cold weather, the foyer was fancy with a relaxation area and free drinks, however the actual onset felt slightly on the basic side to me with just one indoor and one outdoor (not a super fancy type) bath but since there weren’t many guests it wasn’t crowded and I was happy. Again the entire onsen area was very neat and clean. Our room was lovely and clean with a nice balcony. Food was lovely as well. Overall once you get past the gravel road and reach the hotel there’s really not much else to fault and I did enjoy my stay very much.

GGuest UserThe hotel gets off at Kinugawa Onsen Station. There is no hotel car to pick up the station. There are shuttle buses for hot spring hotels. Get on the bus at bus stop No. 5 and tell the driver the name of the hotel. Don't walk there. It's inconvenient to push the luggage. It's also good to walk for 15 minutes without luggage. The appearance of the hotel is a bit old. Don't miss this hotel because of the appearance! The hotel has a sense of history and there is an introduction on the wall. Although it is very old, it is very clean. The room is quite large and clean. The room facing Kinugawa has a good view, but the sound of running water is very loud, which has no effect on our good sleep. The hotel hot spring is quite large. The men and women hot springs will change places in the morning, and you can experience different pools. The hot spring is clean and there are not many people. You can also scan the code to check whether the hot spring is crowded or not, and go when there are few people. The hotel has free afternoon tea at 3 pm. The snacks are delicious and the ice cream is also very good. The hotel's breakfast and dinner are particularly rich, and every kind of food is delicious. We stayed for three nights and had a great time every day! All the waiters in the hotel are very warm and friendly! The bus from the hotel to the station needs to be booked in advance!

JJR_DYReally nice room with an epic view of the lake and enough space for everything. Meals are wonderful and abundant and a seasonal selection each day Perfect place to stay if you are planning to explore okunikko area or to cycle around the lake, there are also restaurants nearby for lunch. The public bath is very pleasant with an outdoor spring to soak in while enjoying an open sky. Found out there was a shuttle bus back to tobu-nikko station setting off at 11am from the hotel after speaking to a kind staff member, Diane. Do make reservations for the shuttle beforehand at the reception if you plan to take this as well. Rental bikes available at the Nikko natural history museum which is a 10min walk from the hotel

HHoSVery old school ryokan run by very friendly who has been working there for many years. Your name will be displayed on the board next to the entrance of the ryokan to show that they were currently welcoming these guests staying at the ryokan! We stayed there for 2 nights with free parking and we didn’t have to drive anywhere until we checked out as the ryokan is within walking distance to the 3 major world heritage listed shrines including The Toshogu Palace. Avoid room 312 or 313 (which we stayed) which are the smallest rooms. Those rooms in the middle parts are bigger and more comfortable. Do ask for any room facing the back of the ryokan and avoid those facing the front where you only see car parks with coaches coming in the morning bringing tourists to the shrines. The onsite Onsen for ryokan guests, breakfasts and dinners are the highlights. You’d love the traditional Japanese meals served there and you won’t be hungry. Would I come back to this ryokan again? Yes definitely due to its location and friendly staff.

GGuest UserThe building itself is old, but the service was good. Free service for beer and cherry blossoms in the lounge. It's a buffet at night and in the morning, but I was surprised at the abundant number of items. All-you-can-drink soft drinks during buffet. It looks beautiful because it replenishes food before it disappears one after another. The image of the Viking has changed. It was good to have a bath and an open-air bath. The free massage chair was also very good.

Jjlow123Most of the reviews are outdated so I thought I'd give an updated review. For one thing, there is WiFi (I have informed the landlady that the website indicates otherwise). This place is a traditional-style inn. You'll be sleeping in a futon (some Google-fu should help you know how to use one), use two pairs of slippers (one for moving around the house, one exclusively for the toilet) and will also bathe in a Japanese-style shared bathroom. The front gate and bathroom close at 10pm, which is not an issue as everywhere in Nikko closes early and it's too dark to hike outdoors (in early Autumn). We loved using the onsen to relax after a day of strolling around and hiking, and the delicious Japanese-style breakfast was lovingly prepared by a friendly old granny. The premises are old but well-maintained. Toilets, bathroom and onsen were great but we were there during off-peak season so we didn't need to share so much. Should we return to Nikko, this place will be our first choice!

Very Good
TTourist805100I came to travel with my husband and wife from Osaka to Kinugawa. I wanted to go to Kinugawa Onsen once in the past, and I was very happy to be willing. I took a lodging at Kinugawa Onsen Park Hotels. Kishintei Japanese room with open air ¥32,000 per person (excluding tax) and karaoke box 2 hours ¥6400 I booked. The hotel itself is not so new, but the interior of the room was renovated, and the toilet and room bath were very clean. The open-air bath in the room was also quite good. Only one thing is that you can't see the view from the open-air bath, the Kinu gawa River, etc., and you're just making a Tsubo garden. There is also a room along the river, so I think it's better there. In general, I thought that 32,000 yen was a little expensive. But Nakai, the room manager, was very kind and like my mother, and I said, ”I'm sure Hiroko.” It was interesting to nominate Hiroko Nakai It was 2 days a night, but there were a lot of good hot springs, dinner and breakfast (room meal). On October 9, I stayed at the hotel

GGuest UserI often use Itoen Hotel. This time I went to Kinugawa because I wanted to show my son the autumn leaves. The hall 々 that overwhelms the others, and the parking lot is already pan-pan. It's great that the guide will respond well, but ”the parking lot will be a different place, so please follow the shuttle bus.” Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Moreover, the fourth parking lot is far from the hotel (it breaks your heart on foot). This is much safer to get a map and guide you. When I thought of check-in, there was a system that corresponds to the order with a number tag of a flock of exhausted customers, and I opened six counters probably because it was a busy time. I waited for about 30 minutes until I was called, and I made a reservation for dinner and breakfast at another counter, and I thought it was a low cost, so I was careful about the procedure. At such a time, I thought I could kill time by choosing souvenirs and open a shop, but it was closed. I was guided to the annex because I had been extended, but once I went out of the main building (cold), I took the elevator to the corresponding floor and the stairs. I had to carry my luggage up, and the luggage truck I borrowed from the front desk was not very helpful. And I'm a little lost due to the complex structure. I avoided it because he told me the crowded time zone at the evening breakfast counter, but in the end it was crowded and the distance from the next seat was so far that I couldn't get a social distance. Well, I focused on all-you-can-drink. I love all-you-can-drink super dry at Itoen Hotel. It was a blissful time to drink like a sake and take a bath in a senpod. Although it is the content of the rice, the menu was richer than other affiliated stores, and shrimp tempura, shrimp, salmon, and engawa sushi were prepared enough, and the replenishment was quick. Although it is a bath, the indoor bath at a good temperature and the bathtub are large and spacious, and the open-air bath has stairs, but it was a rock bath where you can relax. However, you can only get three dryers for this scale. There was a line waiting for the dryer. When I returned to my room and went to bed, it got cold at night in early November, so I couldn't turn on the heating with a small air conditioner, and I woke up several times in the cold at night. Both the futons are thin. Breakfast is as crowded as I imagined. I was disappointed that there was little to do with side dishes. I'm aiming for a low-cost inn, and Itoen Hotel has this quality, so I think it's terrible to ask for more as others say, because there is no way to inconvenience. Access to tourist spots is great and the staff is good, so it's not ”I won't use it anymore!”, but I think it's better to go out with color 々.
