we were there for one night this place is just excelent, service is at top and super clean,dinner in the room, private bath or commmun its your choice , we hardly left our room except for breakfast hightly recomended

During my trip to Niigata, I visited with my parents and siblings. I chose this hotel because it had good reviews online. This time, I stayed for one night with two meals (around 30,000 yen/person: 3 people). <Good points> ・All the dishes were delicious. In particular, the breakfast rice was delicious with Niigata rice.・The autumn leaves in the garden that can be seen from the breakfast venue were beautiful.・The open-air bath was interesting because it was black water. However, it was disappointing that it was narrow. <Disappointing points> ・Maybe because the building was built deeper and deeper, there are many stairs and sloping corridors in the maze-like building, so I don't think it's suitable for people with bad legs. I think it is difficult to go to the public bath.・There were no slippers provided, and none of the air conditioners in the corridor were working, so it was very cold to walk even with socks on.・Because the window was an old-fashioned window (not double glass), it was very cold near the window.・Cost performance was also bad from the equipment side.

Stayed at "Kanrai Kurenai" on the 2nd floor. I was satisfied with the room, but there is no air conditioner in the washroom and toilet, so it will be hard on the body when the temperature is severe. In addition, deterioration of facilities in hall is outstanding. However, the power of a long-established inn to compensate for such dissatisfaction is in the hot springs and cuisine. The open-air bath of black hot water flowing directly from the source, which can only be experienced here, is a masterpiece, and it is worth the experience even if the soles and buttocks are black. I enjoyed it more than enough in a reserved state. Even with a cheap plan, the dinner was served in the room, and I was able to fully enjoy the authentic kaiseki cuisine, and the breakfast in the hall was delicious.
