Mooie omgeving, gedateerd en grootschalig
De Lobo Lodge is grootschalig. Ligt in een prachtige omgeving. De lodge zelf is wel wat gedateerd. Helaas was het zwembad tijdens ons verblijf in maintenance. Diner was prima verzorgd, alleen zaten we met maar 3 tafels in een hele grote (volle) ruimte. Als je buiten de periode van de grote trek komt, houdt er dan rekening mee dat er niet heel veel weggetjes zijn om te rijden (op tracks for africa staan er meer) en op de borden worden circuits aangegeven, maar deze zijn veelal niet begaanbaar (je kan van daaruit wel in ongeveer een 1-2 uur naar de Mara rijden). Dat maakt een verblijf van meerdere dagen minder interessant.

Wir waren hier für eine Nacht. Die Lage der Lodge ist außergewöhnlich mit einem unfassbaren Ausblick (sogar vom Pool!). Die Anlage ist sehr triumphal und man kann das Alter der Anlage aus einer anderen Zeit förmlich aufsaugen. In der low Season war hier nahezu nichts los - was gut war! Essen war absolut ausreichend. Abendliches Entertainment und Touristenunterhaltungs Programm brauche ich persönlich nicht - da ich für die Natur dorthin fahre. Die Anlage ist bereits etwas in die Jahre gekommen was man an einigen Stellen sieht (und hört). WLAN ist wechselhaft. Auf Nachfrage könne man das Wasser aus dem Wasserhahn zum Zähneputzen verwenden - das ist absolut abzuraten - daran habe ich Zweifel zudem schmeckt es nach Rost. Alles in allem aber ein sehr schönes und komfortables Erlebnis.

This is an old lady of an hotel, full of past grandeur and charm, some parts show their age but in general the hotel is meticulously maintained and still splendid. The location is second to none, the wooden architecture fantastic and the rooms very acceptable. We stayed 2 nights in low season and the hotel was basically empty (and the employees rather bored but still nice and helpful), so our experience might have been different with a full house as the place is rather large, but we enjoyed our stay a lot and would absolutely recommend this lodge.

Ambiance particulière dans cet hôtel vieux de 44 ans. Effectivement la chambre et surtout la salle de bain sont basiques. Par contre, les salons communs donnent une ambiance improbable, on aime ou on aime pas. Pour ma part, c'est du jamais vu alors j'aime bien. On a bien mangé. Pas eu le temps de profiter de la piscine, arrivée après le coucher de soleil Lever de soleil incroyable avec une des plus belles vues du séjour. La gentillesse et le servie Tanzanien fidèle au rendez-vous.

Die Lodge ist sehr schön gelegen, das Gebäude ist jedoch in die Jahre gekommen! Das Knarren der Fußböden übertönt das Brüllen der Wasserbüffel! Die verrosteten Leitungen geben dem Wasser die dementsprechende braune Farbe und einen eigenen Geschmack! Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend, das Personal ist sehr bemüht! Die Rezeptionisten zeichnen sich jedoch durch Inkompetenz aus! Es ist zu empfehlen, eine ausreichende Menge Bargeld mitzuführen, da man genötigt wird, die Rechnung aufgrund von "Problemen " mit der Internverbindung CASH zu begleichen!

This is a very large lodge on the hill in a great location. During migration times you can see a lot of animals from your room. We were alone there and that was a good thing because the wooden floors creak terribly loudly. The food wasn't freshly cooked either. Simple lodge in which the owner has invested very little. Since we had a great guide we saw a lot of them.

The first view of the Lobo Wildlife Lodge is spectacular. It is nestled into the rocks on the edge of the Serengeti like a mountain fortress. Its location offers fantastic views of the national park and of sunrise and sunset from the various vantage points. The lodge is on several levels, nestled into the mountain, and is very lovingly furnished overall, especially the restaurant and bar, which give you a real safari feeling. The rooms are a little dated, especially the bathrooms. And the creaky floorboards can be a little annoying for fellow travelers. But ultimately, all of this can hardly spoil the overall impression. This also applies to the occasional power outage. This gives the whole thing a more adventurous character.
