The Lewinnick Lodge

We stayed at Lewinnick Lodge for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were warmly greeted by the friendly receptionist and we were delighted to discover that we had been upgraded. Our room was huge with enormous picture windows with the most amazing sea views. The bed was equally huge and incredibly comfortable. I slept so well. The bath in the room was great. I just needed a glass of bubbly to go with the bubble bath! We loved the stylish restaurant with a relaxed vibe. We were there on a Monday and it was busy. The food and service was fab. I loved my salt and pepper squid and prawns. They were very tasty. My fish and chips were huge! Beautifully cooked fish and crispy batter. Sadly we had no room for pudding. It was a lovely evening and the fabulous sunset was the icing on the cake. Breakfast the next morning was included and my pancakes with maple syrup and bacon was delicious. Just a suggestion but could you provide side plates and knives for the toast? After checking out and going for a short walk we spent a while on the terrace with a drink and enjoying the sun and view. We could easily have stayed there all afternoon. We will definitely return!

We were regulars to the restaurant few years back it was amazing great food but it went down hill suddenly so we didn’t go back for a long time. We decided to go today for lunch with our whole family. We were very disappointed to say the least! We ordered the salt and pepper squid and prawns it was so bland tasteless no seasoning didn’t even have a lemon slices to add and was stone cold: Our family member ordered Fishcakes and the Mackerel tacos Again the mackerel was so small you couldn’t see it and no seasoning and no Lemon or lime to drizzle over to give it any taste! Bland bland bland!!! Also our other family member had a club sandwich! Sorry to say the bread was STALE!!! I ordered Chunky Chips to go with Tacos £4 I had 4 chips a £1 a chip!!! Safe to say we won’t coming again!! Great view shame about the food

Wonderful location with fantastic sea views. We had an ocean view room which was very spacious however the bathroom is open plan (only the toilet has a door) so may not suit everyone. Large comfortable bed and seating area. Plenty of tea/coffee and delicious shortbread biscuits. When warm and sunny there is a large outside area for drinks and food. Plenty of parking but non residents can park there too so can get busy. There are two free slow EV chargers. The hotel is remote with no pubs/restaurants within easy walking distance. We ate in the restaurant and bar most nights and all the food was very tasty. We would recommend the fish and chips which was huge and the burger was good too. Breakfast is served until 11.00 am and has to be ordered from a menu. The full breakfast was excellent as was the granola with yoghurt. Service throughout our stay was welcoming and professional. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would like to thank all the staff for a very memorable stay in beautiful Cornwall.
