Arrived 10 mins before 3 which is the official check in time. Spoke to the woman on reception who said we would have to wait until 3 unless we had paid for an early check in. Not sure if this is a general new policy but did seem a bit petty for the sake of 10 mins. Clearly others were doing the same and all waiting around for 3pm. Room was spacious and had the sea view we had paid for which was nice. Disappointed however to find when we went down to breakfast signs up saying it was continental only. Anyone with children knows the breakfast is the highlight of a premier inn stay, so it would have been good to know this in advance and maybe we would have considered booking elsewhere. Apparently we will be refunded the difference for the breakfast, so will wait and see if that happens.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on a business trip. It’s in a great location, right opposite the seafront. Check in was a breeze - the room was comfortable and clean. I slept exceptionally well in a very comfortable bed. A few points to call out: 1. On one night, the restaurant was busy and the staff did their utmost hardest to ensure that everyone was served and looked after. The staff here are what make this hotel. I wanted to specifically mention Trudi - her customer service skills and attention to detail / warm and friendly approach is excellent. 2. WiFi - the ‘free’ WiFi that is offered is slow. You can pay to get faster speeds, but I didn’t bother as I begrudged paying it as many other hotels do offer these normal / faster speeds that are included in the overall ‘package’. Overall, an excellent stay. Thank you.

The views are amazing, it’s definitely worth paying for a sea view. Unfortunately the room was not as clean as we hoped, there was litter on the floor and hairs in and on our bed, I asked for the bed to be changed which they did but they didn’t make it look particularly presentable. We had no hot water in the sink. The lifts need a really good clean. Instead of standing in the foyer chatting perhaps your staff could clean in their spare time. We were hoping for dinner but was told there was a really limited menu as they had ran out of so much so we went else where. The same with breakfast, we were told it was continental only, well we were hoping for a good breakfast as we had a long day ahead of us so really it was quite a shame but it could have been amazing. I really think the standards need to be raised a little, the location is amazing but people will expect the service to go with it too then they will come back time and time again. Photo attached of the bed after it had been cleaned and changed by staff and untouched by us.

First of all, the location was amazing and the sea view premier plus rooms were clean. Comfy beds, nice toiletries and coffee in the room. So we did have a good weekend and probably would stay again but with adjusted expectations. There were lots of things that we felt meant the experience wasn't as good as what we have had elsewhere. Parking - the driveway to the carpark is gated shut to allow building works next door. It took us a while to find out how to get to the car park (left after the hotel and left again up a small lane). There was no signage to explain this and it was dark. It was £14 per 24 hours so factor that in when costing accommodation. Bathroom - it wasn't as nice as other premier plus rooms we have stayed in. The shower was over a slim shallow bath, other we have stayed in have had nice spacious walk in showers. As the space was so narrow, the complimentary toiletries are in a really awkward place and I've a lovely big cut/bruise from accidentally stepping back into them in the shower. The water pressure was terrible so the rainfall head was more of a light drizzle. Staffing - I will say that the staff we did meet were lovely but they were very short staffed. On the night we arrived, there was no chef so we had to choose between three dishes that the manager knew how to cook. They were very helpful but it was disappointing. They also didn't tell us when checking in that there would be no cooked breakfast, it was just a sign in the lift. We got a refund but they didn't tell us there would be cooked on the Sunday, we assumed they would refund both days. We missed Sunday due to the lack of communication. We also came back on the Saturday night to buy a drink in the bar, we waited a long time, went over to reception but no one came so we walked up to Tesco Express to buy some drinks to take to our room. I felt this was also a security issue as well as bad service. We couldn't complain to anyone as there were no staff to be seen. Cleanliness - our room was fine but the rest of the hotel needs a good clean. The lifts and stairways are unclean. Overall it was fine but if going again I would skip the breakfast, stick with the premier plus room and just make sure that we have everything we need in advance.

Breakfast was cold, no heating worked in room. Put us on bottom floor the window was bogging covered in cement and dust etc. wasn’t very clean the skin and toilet had hair in it when we checked in. Seems like they didn’t have pride in the hotel very disappointed

So the guy that checks you in is lovely. Room was clean and functional …I’m writing this before experiencing breakfast! Don’t eat in the restaurant portions are abysmal and service is awful! My waitress was a lady with a fake Essex accent who was more interested in flirting with the 7 guys at the next table, she basically threw my dinner at me, I wasn’t asked if everything was ok, and wasn’t offered any sauces. Portions really were tiny…I think I had a desert spoon of peas and not even a handful of chips….. good job my company were paying as I would have refused to pay for such a poor meal and service!

Stayed here for my birthday with family on 18th January 2025. The location is excellent, right in front of a beach. It is outstandingly clean and looks very presentable. All the staff were fantastic. The food was amazing. Despite the hotel cost being low, the standards are certainly not. All Premier Inns I have stayed in have been excellent, and this one rated near the, if not at, the top. Will without a doubt be returning in the future. Thank you to all the helpful, friendly staff. A real credit to the company. Great hotel.
