Just returned from a lovely 3-night stay. We were in town to see the tennis. The inn is well-located in the heart of Newport. Staff was delightful - friendly and welcoming. Room (#19) is spacious and very comfortable and is well kitted out with an electric kettle and fridge, with a small freezer compartment, which easily accommodated several ice packs. The room has a wonderful balcony with a table and chairs, perfect for two, and overlooks the rooftops and provides a view of the harbor. It’s a lovely spot to enjoy morning coffee or an evening drink. I expect that you get a magnificent sunset view from the balcony, but we were always out and about at that time. An ample buffet breakfast with nice treats is provided. And speaking of treats, there are usually snickerdoodle and chocolate chunk cookies at the front desk. There was also a basket of bagged fresh herbs, to which you could help yourself. Definitely would return if staying in Newport again!
