The room is not big, the air conditioner cannot be controlled in the room, I almost froze to death. The waiter had a good attitude, was happy at work, and had a relaxed and pleasant chat. The restaurant closed at 8pm and the tent curtain banged in the wind, but the staff was indifferent. The breakfast is all ready-made and of very poor quality. It feels like a rural-level farm stay. It's a waste of such a nice castle.

We booked this place late in the season as we needed a place to overnight before taking the ferry to Block Island the next morning. This is definitely a wedding venue but we enjoyed our brief stay! We arrived on a Tuesday and the Safari room was not open and it was very quiet. The quiet was greatly appreciated after a long hot drive from Maine in crazy New England traffic. The views are amazing, the room was clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. The staff was fantastic! It's less than a mile walk from Brenton Point state park for even more amazing views. The front desk did indeed have all that we needed including a bottle opener/corkscrew :) I highly recommend!
