The outside of the hotel looked very drab and needs refreshing. The car park is relatively small. On accessing the hotel, reception is up a level, either by stairs or a small lift. I was able to get into the lift with my wheelchair and luggage, however it was a snug fit! After initial issues with check in (I didnt tick a box when booking for business) the staff were lovely and helpful. My accessible room was on the same level, just 3 doors to get through to my room. The doors were not automatic, and trying to juggle them, in my wheelchair, plus my luggage was tricky to say the least. The room was plenty big enough for me to park my chair in the corner out of the way. The room was adequate for a business trip, but if you plan on staying in your room more, I would advise against it! The TV was ok, relatively small for a larger room. A lot of the channels didnt work. The bathroom was clean and reasonable sized. The handrail was the length of the bath, but overhung so it made getting into and out of the bath a little difficult as the bar was in the way. Wifi was patchy, you can pay if you need better service. I didnt. The wifi was slow and not suitable for working or downloading stuff. Was fine for a quick check on socials, checking emails and what to do in the area. Overall, it is what you'd expect.

A premier inn that feels as though it needs a big injection of money spent on it. Staff were excellent - friendly and helpful however just not enough of them. There was a long wait for us at check with nobody at the desk. The couple in front of us rung the bell continuously for good while before somebody came and informed us that they were ‘on their own time’ so left us alone again to wait whilst they found somebody else. This staff member, however, was extremely helpful and friendly - as were the breakfast staff. We explored Newcastle and decided at the last minute to watch the match at the hotel bar instead of at the local sports bar. Unfortunately upon arrival we found that the television in the restaurant didn’t work so had to go to our rooms to watch it. Room 1 had stained bedding and room 2 had a bed that hadn’t been made at all. Great location, easy parking, lovely staff. Could just do with a bit of money spent on some more staff, bar television fix and a deep clean of the fusty smelling carpets in the hallways.

Could not fault the room or service here. All of the staff were so lovely. Hotel is in a good location and just a short walk from Newcastle centre. More than enough on site parking available. Great breakfast!! There is no air conditioning but a fan was provided which proved sufficient.

The hotel does not have air conditioning. It is also situated on a very loud road. So we had to sleep with the window shut to keep the noise down which was very stuffy and unpleasant. I wouldn't stay here again.

Rooms very clean. Friendly helpful staff, great nights sleep and lovely hot breakfast. Couldn't fault it. Good location.

Poor sleep because of heat and the fan doesn’t help and if you’re on road side opening the window makes it so noisy and not much cooler, don’t understand why the corridors were so much cooler than the room.Water pressure is poor on second floor and staff know it but it hasn’t been fixed and no solution offered. Corridors, hand rails and windows all need a proper clean. The car parking charges are silly for residents and it’s just a way to make more money as there are loads of spaces. Unusually you have to order your hot food but I guess that reduces waste. It’s a convenient location for the city centre.

Stayed here for my daughter's dance comp. Premier inn are our go to hotel brand for dance comps but this one just didn't fit the price tag. £142 for a night. Long wait at reception to leave our bags...then a long wait for a drink at the bar because the reception staff are also expected to be bar staff and to be in two service areas at the same time. Rooms were ok. Carpet didn't fit in room 1. Tired furniture too. I think if I'd payed £79 to £99 I'd be ok. But almost £150....I feel ripped off and will now look at other hotel brands for our dance comps.

Myself and my engineering team stay here regularly for work over the last year, and can honestly say the whole Premier Inn team are one of the best in our experience. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and we get friendly, warm, first name treatment from start to finish.
