Premier Inn Newcastle Airport

The Hotel’s location is very close to The Newcastle International Airport and the Metro. Just a few minutes walk can be reached. Clean with sufficient lighting is good. The bed’s quality is a bit soft and old. If it is changed, it will be better.

Very closely located next to Newcastle airport, no more than 5 min walk. Friendly check in team, clean room and option to take food from restaurant to room is very convenient for solo travelers.

Welcomed by Louise . It's a great place for a walk in breakfast, beats any around here. Everything is cooked fresh and hot to order, non of those cold buffet breakfasts. The Chef Chief made me 3 perfectly cooked poached eggs. Beans & bacon. You help yourself to unlimited coffee/toast/fruit juices/muffins/cereal/teas/pancakes.etc and for the price it is so value for money. I used to go in to Ponteland but not anymore. Will highly recommend to drivers and colleagues 👍 ☆☆☆☆☆

The beds are so comfy and you always get a warm friendly welcome. Service is excellent in the restaurant and bar. However I wish premier inn would change their menu more frequently. We are regularly staying at this hotel and the food is what I would call ping food which leaves a lot to be desired. So a change would definitely be a welcome.

We stopped here yesterday this was our second visit having stopped at the same time last year after another late night flight. On arrival in our room it was severely knocked about chipped furniture and a very tired bathroom and decor this theme continues in the hallways where parts of the carpet are threadbare. The bed was by no means up to the usual Premier in standard and we all struggled to sleep. On waking we went for breakfast which we had pre booked. Hot food here isn't buffet it's cooked to order toast cereal coffee etc is self service. Not one of our four cooked breakfasts was what we had actually ordered and I'm still not entirely sure what was wrong with the black pudding but it looked like it had died twice. Coffee was good toast well probably best to put your bread in before you go to bed it takes ten minutes to get anywhere near toasted. The staff as ever were superb housekeeping standard good considering the worn out rooms they have to work with. All in all I'd say next year we'll book the Doubletree next door. Parking is another issue and adds £9 per night to your stay for the privellage of parking in a pretty Much empty car park.

The good: A clean, comfortable bed. Easily located from the airport terminal. Hot water and decent fluffy towels. The bad: The hotel is rundown inside and out. A dirty building, a rundown reception, dated interiors and filthy windows. Not a good first impression. Avoid the restaurant. Food is basic, bland and uninspiring. Rooms are basic with questionable carpets! The hotel is perfectly reasonable for a one night stay. I slept well. But…Whitbread needs to pump some investment into this hotel. The people of the North East deserve better.

An extremely clean, quiet and comfortable room. Just what was needed after a particularly long 15hr journey. Easy check in. Great nights sleep and a delicious breakfast before leaving the following morning. Friendly and helpful staff made this a great option. Would highly recommend.

As always, Premier Inn Newcastle Airport delivers. Great location for air travel, easy parking, good restaurant and staff. Rooms are alway ckean and comfortable. Amazingly, even though the hotel is right next to the airport, the noise is minimal. Fantastic experience, throughout. Highly recommended.
