Amazing
GGuest UserHotel is located conveniently next to the river. We had received a very warm welcome by the hotel staff. The room is fully equipped with basic cooking amenities. Just wish to give our special gratitude to the guy welcoming at the front desk, he has granted us everything we need and is super caring to guests. We'll definitely choose this hotel if we travel to this part of the country again.
MMichelle ElliottStayed one night - bank holiday Sunday in a Club double room with full English buffet breakfast and a drinks voucher each included. We stayed in room 511 which seemed slightly more spacious than other rooms of this type however only had a partial river view due to being at the end of the corridor. On booking we had requested to have additional pillows for the bed and this was done for our arrival. A very good overnight stay in a hotel located within easy walking distance of bars and restaurants on the quayside. Will be a returning guest .
DDanielle RixonAbsolute brilliant hotel, staff so friendly and welcoming, can I just say, paul on reception was an absolute legend, as I rang up in the morning to request an early check-in as we arrived after 12 and check-in wasn't untill 3, but paul put a lock on our room, so it was ready for us when we arrived, give that man a raise. Perfect location and comfortable rooms, will deffo recommend, and if im visiting Newcastle again, I think this hotel will be my first choice, depending on price. Thanx 😊 Danielle and Michelle from Liverpool
JJonathanStaff at the front desk were really friendly. Given cookies at check in and sent off to sleep as we had a 3am wake up. Good hotel to stay at for Newcastle Airport, we rewuested a quiet room away from others as door slamming wakes us, and unfortunately the guests next to us (headboard side) kept going in and out of their room which shook the bed. So we didnt really sleep. However, this is more an issue with them than the hotel. The were really giving it some whammy.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the ancient city, with a very unique, classical and stylish decoration and appearance. You can walk to the river in a few minutes. Recommended! If you arrive by car, the hotel has a doorman to keep your car keys, which is quite interesting.
BBev RussellStaff were absolutely brilliant they rescheduled my booking I was able to call back with a few different dates until I found a suitable one , the only negative was , the hairdryer didn’t work we had a bit of hassle with the tv remote had to have it changed twice , and had noisy upstairs neighbours , but apart from that couldn’t fault it , really comfortable bed , although there was no chair in the room it is an accessible room but with two people we had to sit on the bed it would not have been comfortable for anyone with posture issues
GGuest UserThe staff at the hotel was very friendly. As we booked quite close to our actual trip date we didn't get a great room. Our room was at the end of the hallway next to the staff elevator. unfortunately, the door to that elevator was open half the time we were there with food scraps waiting to be taken away out in the open area. This led to ”food smells” being wafted into our room. we had to open the window the moment we entered our room because of the stuffy smell but once the window was open and there was ventilation, everything was fine.
GGuest UserLiterally next to the train station so perfect for us. On site pool was fab for my son. Fridge in room was perfect as I had medication that needed to be kept cold. The window was open when we arrived. So we closed it. But our room was freezing. We were given a heater for our room which helped. We got a too good to go surprise bag (breakfast) from the reception and my son couldn’t eat it all. There was loads. 11am checkout was perfect too. Definitely stay again.
PParmo1000I understand that the hotel has been renovated. I just cannot understand why there were so many bad reviews. I found it perfectly nice for an airport hotel especially. The price fluctuated wildly but on the day when I was arriving, the price reached its lowest since I have been monitoring it. By foot it's opposite the terminal and slightly to the right. It only takes 7 minutes and a small sign will appear. It is harder to find than you think, best to ask advice or use an online map.
It had everything you expect, courteous staff, kettles and coffee, even a bath! The only think I found slightly sub par was the bed, the mattress seemed to be cheap, slightly uncomfortable it was just what I needed. There was nothing wrong with it whatsoever. 10am checkout is a bit stingy though.
GGuest UserRoom ok, staff friendly, downstairs is the Blance bar where you have 25% discount on food and drink, the only negative note is the breakfast is not like in the photos and they don't have a coffee machine but a machine that dispenses everything with blends
