Hotel is centrally located , righ on main street.Complimentary breakfast was good .Hotel.niw offers a cooked breakfast for £10.We didn't get this , so can't comment.Room very clean and staff very pleased and accommodating. This mu second stay and will stay again whilst in Newcastle.Thank you staff , you should be proud 👏

Super friendly staff were so welcoming & accommodating. The hotel has a slightly antique-homely feel with large rooms that are comfortable & quiet. Breakfast is plentiful with an excellent service. We honestly can't rate it highly enough. Very very recommended.

Stayed 4 nights at The Donard with friends. Kevin & the staff were so friendly & accommodating........any request was never too much. All were more than happy to give us pointers from the best restaurants to the best ice cream parlours to bus timetables. The hotel was immaculate, the bedrooms fresh & homely and the bed very comfortable. The continental breakfast had a large offering and it was nice to be greeted by a smiling Katie offering tea or coffee in the morning. 🙂 A most enjoyable stay in this fine hotel.

Great stay at the donard. Excellent facilties and a professional and courteous staff. Fantastic games room which my children really enjoyed. Room exceeded expectations. Will definitely return.

Central friendly hotel
Lovely stay in very central hotel. Dogs catered for with bed blanket and bowls in the room on arrival. Some areas could do with refreshing but the frienliness of the staff more than make up for a few flaws in decor. Would happily return. Ps thanks for the birthday balloons and banner.

Overnight stay
The room was spotless and the staff were welcoming and helpful. There was a complimentary continental breakfast which was nice. The decor could probably do with updating, but this didn’t really affect my stay. This was a lovely hotel at a good price.

Good location
Hotel itself was alright. Good location. Continental breakfast only, very limited, no cheese or ham. No hot water for shower.
