A large country golf course. The house is a bit old and the golf course is very original. It is a good choice for quiet people. Parking is convenient and it is also convenient to go to the supermarket to buy things.

I can't believe some of the reviews I have read. This is one of the scruffiest places in which I have stayed. Dust on radiators, every single skirting board in need of paint and/or repair. Plumbing something out of a comedy sketch. It rained during our stay and it was simply awful. The best is the hotel bar. It doubles up as the nineteenth hole of the golf course. Full of boorish individuals swearing and vaping as they conduct their post mortems on their rounds. The lack of self awareness had to be seen to be believed. The weather was fair on our first night and the smokers stood in the doorways kindly allowing us to share their habit. I guess technically they were outside. Breakfast was good but it was difficult to ask questions when so few spoke English. Staff wearing un-ironed shirts. Waiting staff clearly unable to carry crockery and glassware properly. Tables left uncleared for far too long. Generally only cleared when someone wanted a table. There are plenty of rooms that would suit a quiet lounge for hotel residents, why oh why would you not make this available? Looked so good, but how disappointing.

Lovely setting with the grounds and the golf course. Very quiet and rims were a little tired and bathroom was very small in my room but the bed was very comfortable.

Always stay here when travelling for business. It’s a hidden gem. Lovely beds, restaurant food and service is excellent.

I was in the old part of the hotel. The room was a little shabby (compared to some of my colleagues who had more modern rooms) although very large and comfortable and clean with a beautiful view. The food was excellent, both breakfast and evening meal and the staff were very polite.
