3-Star Hotels in Newark

We loved how close it was to downtown and very close to Penn Station to take the train to NYC. It was clean and bright and their restaurant was very nice. The staff was not very friendly. We got locked out of our room because the battery was dead. They could not replace the batter so we had to back up all of our stuff and move rooms. We did not get so much as an apology from the staff about the inconvenience. When I talk to them about the room change I asked if they could make sure the fridge was plugged in since we would be out when the room was ready. The front desk guy just said ”you will have to ask housekeeping to do that” I had no access to housekeeping to ask them. The evening front desk staff was very nice.

After a long flight from the UK we arrived to check in and were greeted by very friendly reception staff who asked us all about our trip, where we were travelling to etc, so we explained we were at the start of a roadtrip. We asked if our room rate included breakfast, it didn't, but the very helpful Nate said he wanted our trip to get off to a good start and gave us a voucher for breakfast. Was a lovely gesture, very welcome and the next morning it set us up for the day - thanks Nate! The hotel itself was fine, the room perfectly adequate. Our only issue was the family across the corridor. I think there had been a problem with their room so they were in the hallway making such an amount of noise which carried on inside the room. I believe several complaints were made as it was as though there was a party going on. Security came up a couple of times and it eventually quietened down. Just not what we needed at 11pm onwards after a long flight, nor I'm sure did anyone else.

Advantages: good location, free parking, free bus to the airport, and then into New York, but this way is more expensive, 2 people need 61 knives to return to and from New York, it is better to park in New York, it will be dozens of knives all day, if more than 2 people suggest driving, it is good to start early, Especially on Sundays in New York, many free parking spaces. Disadvantages: The equipment is old, the breakfast is too simple, and it ends at 9 o'clock. In addition to breakfast time, no boiling water is provided, not convenient.

We stayed here for a night before taking an early morning flight. Clean room and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is about 10 mins. drive to and from the Liberty International Airport. Free hotel shuttle runs every 30mnts. from the hotel. The shuttle is shared with Home2 guests as well and drops you off at all terminals(A,B C...). You have to let the hotel front desk know what time you need the shuttle. Hotel offered grab and go breakfast bags if you have to leave early in the morning if the breakfast area is closed. The Hampton Inn Newark Airport is a conveniently located hotel just 10 minutes from the airport. The complimentary breakfast was great, and the room was a good size. However, I found my legs and feet itchy after sleeping in the bed, so I would recommend that the housekeeping staff focus on cleaning the bedding more thoroughly. The check-in process was a little cumbersome because I didn't have an international debit or credit card, but the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to people who are looking for a convenient and affordable place to stay near the airport. Here are some specific things that could be improved: The bedding could be cleaned more thoroughly to remove any allergens that may be causing the itching. The check-in process could be streamlined for guests who do not have an international debit or credit card. For example, the hotel could create a process where cash can be accepted for incidentals without having to wait to get approval from the manager. Overall, I had a positive experience at the Hampton Inn Newark Airport. I would recommend it to people who are looking for a convenient and affordable place to stay near the airport.

I stayed here the night before an early flight out of Newark. The front desk lady, had a great attitude and she was so friendly and helpful. She assisted me with a food delivery driver that was “lost” and when he never showed, she gave me a tip to a restaurant that would deliver. She proactively got me set up on the airport shuttle. The morning of my flight, the two ladies working in the lobby greeted me and offered to assist me with the shuttle. They offered a to go snack since I was leaving before breakfast. Then they chatted with me and other guests waiting for the shuttle. The hotel was sparkly clean and smelled nice and fresh. There was tea/coffee and cookies in the lobby and snacks for purchase.

The staff are amazing. Great people, friendly and happy to help with any issues. Located really close to Newark Penn for easy access to NYC on the path train. Rooms are decent size and comfortable. Breakfast was ok but simple. Safe location for Newark

The good: great bed, large room, decent toiletries and OK shower. Everywhere seemed clean Areas for improvement: it’s not easy to find the shuttle times on the website but I did eventually and knew I’d have to get an Uber from EWR to the hotel. Took approx 15 minutes. On checking in, I asked what time the shuttle was in the morning. The reply was in the hour and it starts at 5:30am. I made arrangement to meet the rest of my group at 6am based on that info. Later in the day, I came down for a drink and dinner only to be told that the bar and bistro were closed due to lack of staff. This isn’t mentioned at all on the website or on check in. Not a huge issue as there are a few decent bars and restaurants close to the hotel The next morning, checking out at 5:25am, I was told that there is no 5:30am shuttle, that the check-in staff are repeatedly misinforming guests and that the 5:30 shuttle is when the shuttle leaves EWR. Great! Now I’m scrambling for an Uber/taxi, paying for something I didn’t expect or plan for, in a situation that could be avoided. Really annoying.

Stayed here after a late night flight into EWR. The hotel had a free shuttle that picked us from the airport. The staff was very welcoming despite our late check in and short stay. Rooms were clean and comfy!

Arrived at Newark Airport late on a Sunday evening only to find we’d forgotten to pack our apartment keys, so we were going to have to find a hotel. The nearest was Marriott Newark Airport, but they didn’t have a vacancy. The staff there were very helpful and found us a room at the nearby Marriott Courtyard to which they had a 24-hr shuttle bus. The accommodation was excellent and the staff again very helpful and polite. Faultless service in finding a solution for us at such short notice. Thoroughly recommended!
