When I first got to New York, I lived uptown.
Not a good impression of the whole
Later, I changed to Ludlow and felt that the location is very good
Very close to downtown but not too noisy
There is a bar on the first floor with a good environment

There are not enough good things to say about this hotel. The location is excellent. The service is first class. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. It is situated close to great restaurants and bars and a short walk to an eclectic mix shops as well as little Italy and Chinatown.

Upon our recent stay at the Ludlow, my wife and I were once taken in and treated like family. Both Jolyn and Jonathan went above and beyond to make our short wedding anniversary staycation into yet another memorable stay. Thank you so much for the continued hospitality. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

My small room felt spacious and sunny (mine faced Ludlow). The decor is very upbeat and feel chic, The room was impecably clean and I could have stayed in my bed all day. The bathroom was large and had a decent makeup mirror (these are hard to find). When I arrived the bed had a little wiggle noise in it, engineers were promptly dispatched to fix this. It was a very comfortable stay. If there was one thing that could be better its the connection to Dirty French who provide room service but no way to discuss your order with a human, the food was good though. I will return.

Second time here. Love it. PRO: VERY clean. Service is impeccable. Room requests (ice, extra towels etc) provided immediately. Staff is friendly and helpful. You don’t feel like you’re a burden. Has a cool vibe. Neighborhood is excellent. Everything you need is right out the door or down the block. CON: storage space is tight. I had no problem working around it but if you like to sprawl, this may be a challenge.

It's rare to have a completely wonderful hotel experience these days, with attention to detail, great people, design, location, and food, but the Ludlow freaking does it. Good for them. My husband and two twenty-something daughters got to have a pied-a-terre in the best location in NYC. Yes, it was pricey, but totally worth it. I hope to be back again and again.
