Location, all that matters.
Staff was great, helpful, and kind to help us all the way. Especially the person at the door with whom I had a very personal and meaningful conversation.
Fireplace in the lobby, next level spot for your socials.
Breakfast is not really my thing. European taste (even Australian one) is very different from local US ones. It's good to have, but around, there are always options.

We just came into the City to see a couple of museums and take in a Broadway show. This location was convenient to the Whitney Museum and restaurants. It is across the street from the Chelsea Market and near The High Line. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Comfy rooms & bed. Great accessories. Request a room on a high floor so you get a view and are further away from the nightclub. We only stayed for a night as we had missed a flight back to the UK and the Maritime was the best value near Meatpacking district for a bed for the night

Warm, friendly staff, front desk helped with any request, everyone made our stay comfortable and easy! We will definitely stay at the Maritime again and recommend it. The location is conveniently located near the L and Union Square subway, and much quieter than staying in more typical tourist areas. (FYI my family lived in NYC for a decade)

For a visitor who likes classic chic, cool, chill, retro, beautiful design - not trendy, gimmicky or robotic - the Maritime is a gem. The lobby feels like coming home. Mid-century done right, raised to the level of art. Rooms are efficient; not huge but cool. Staff is friendly, relaxed, easy, and super helpful. Every time I walk into the lobby I feel like I'm coming home.

Great location near the 14St. subway station, Highline, and Little Island; unique design, shelves and reading lights near the head of the bed, and adequate continental breakfast make this hotel a plus.
