Could not run out of good things to say about my time at Collective Retreats! The accommodations are beautiful, the food is RIDICULOUSLY good, and the team working there are incredible. We had a corporate event there and experienced the definition of hospitality from everyone on site. Highly highly highly recommend!

The room-a base camp cabin- was lovely and the staff was largely great. The shower curtain t gave been swapped put (it was rust-stained) and the resort’s common areas need attention. The dining room cushions smelled of mildew, the fiberglass banquets are scarred and the Buffett breakfast was more Red Roof Inn than luxe. You can’t beat the sunset views of the Statue of Liberty and the fire-pits and ‘smores were great. We won’t return but it was overall a hoot.

We just stayed at the gorgeous Glamping property of collective retreats on Governors Island last week. Our stay, and experience overall was outstanding.
The setting is unbeatable; with tents in the foreground and lady Liberty and the south of Manhattan for a backdrop! It’s breathtaking both day and night.
We opted for a journey tent but we would upgrade to a tent with our own private bathroom next time. The facilities were spotless though!
The little extras like breakfast delivery, s’mores and campfires at night, glamorous details in the room…all left us wanting to come back again.
We were so impressed by the level of service the staff provided. It’s clear that Evan runs a tight ship when every single staff member you engage with is helpful professional and absolutely lovely. Namira checked us in on arrival and even brought breakfast to our tent the next morning!
We hope to be back again this season before they close in November. If you are reading this, you must try this wonderful experience for yourself.

Just what we expected
Just what we expected. Staff was nice & helpful. Hanging out in the middle of New York Harbor. Happy Hour was relaxed (1 free w your stay). Dinner was good (additional). Smores & Campfire were great (included). Beds were comfy. They had coffee available in our room to make which we did at 6am when we woke. Breakfast was fine and it starts at 8am (additional but came with a breakfast beverage - we had coffee). And they will hold your bags after checkout if you want to go explore Governor's Island - which we did. Overall a relaxing & enjoyable time. You will hear the ferry & helicopters from time to time but that's nothing compared to NYC constant noise.

Comfortable Stay
I stayed in the Outlook Villa for my solo trip. Overall it was nice and comfortable. Service was very good and the villa was beautiful. I had a few issues but it didn’t impact my vacation time.
Twice I had people enter the villa without checking. I know it’s a relaxed atmosphere but it did freak me out that despite having the privacy button on, people still entered.
The wifi is not strong in the actual villa. It kept dropping and I ended up hot spotting to my personal phone.
