Still a pretty good hotel, in the center of the city center. Overall clean and tidy, and the price is reasonable. The service attitude is still relatively friendly, overall.

I spent the week before Christmas enjoying the sights and sounds of Manhattan. We chose the U Hotel Fifth Avenue due to the excellent pricing and we were pleasantly surprised by how clean the room and bathroom were. The location is excellent with several convenient subways close by and within walking distance to Broadway. I was concerned about the room size based on other reviews however, we both had a carry-on and a backpack and the space in the room was fine. I would highly recommend the U Hotel if you are looking for a no frills super clean hotel room,

Ottimo hotel sia per la posizione centrale, è vicino a diverse fermate della metro che per la gentilezza del personale sempre cordiale e disponibile. Le camere sono un po' piccoline ma confortevoli. La colazione non è inclusa ma all'interno dell'hotel c'è uno Starbucks che apre presto al mattino. Super consigliato!

This is a great place in midtown Manhattan, just minutes from The Empire State Building. It had everything we needed: a comfortable bed, a bathroom and air conditioning. The room was small but comfortable, with plenty of space for a couple of big suitcases, and a couple of carry-on bags. It was serviced every day, and they provided complimentary bottled water every day. There's no bar and no breakfast, but it's right next to Starbucks, which opens at 5:30am. We walked to Central Park in about 30 minutes, walked to Times Square in about 10 minutes. The reception staff were brilliant, including booking us a fab limo transfer back to the airport at the same fixed rate as any yellow cab. This isn't a business class hotel, but we would definitely stay here again as independent travellers.

Das Hotel in New York war die perfekte Wahl für meinen Geschäftsaufenthalt. Die Lage ist unschlagbar – mitten im Herzen der Stadt, mit einfachem Zugang zu wichtigen Geschäftsvierteln. Die Zimmer waren modern, sauber und sehr komfortabel, ideal zum Entspannen nach einem langen Arbeitstag. Der Service war außergewöhnlich, das Personal stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders beeindruckt war ich vom schnellen und zuverlässigen WLAN, was für meine Arbeit essentiell war. Das Frühstück bot eine gute Auswahl, um gestärkt in den Tag zu starten. Insgesamt ein hervorragendes Hotel für Geschäftsreisende – sehr empfehlenswert!

The rooms in the hotel are small with few amenities, but it was super clean and had a very nice marble bathroom. The staff was beyond helpful and accomodating. Although I have stayed in much fancier hotels, I never felt as welcome as I did here.

Great location. Clean. Comfortable bed. HOT WATER. Rooms are small but comfortable. The desk personnel, in specific, Carlos was so nice, funny, very welcoming and polite. My best friend and I stayed for 2 nights. It was extremely hot out and the housekeeping employees were giving us water bottles every day. Everyone was so nice and it made our vacations better. I would definitely stay again.
