The first night was fairly smooth — the room was small but clean. However, the second night was a nightmare. Renovation works of the building next to the hotel started at 2 AM, and it was absolutely impossible to sleep, even with earplugs. I immediately contacted the front desk, but they simply said it wasn't their responsibility and offered no solution whatsoever. The next morning, I asked to speak with the manager, who was not available (likely because they had a quiet night’s sleep in a different part of the hotel or at home). Later, I received an email stating they could only offer a refund for the city tax. I declined the offer and informed them that I would book elsewhere. I had another two-night reservation at the same hotel three days later (upon returning from a business trip), which I canceled due to the poor experience. They never responded, but I later found out they charged me for the night I had already canceled, labeling it as a "no-show." They blamed me — but the issue was entirely on their side. I've asked for a full refund of the night that I canceled because it was clearly due to the poor experience I had, and explained with different messages. They did not reply. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. They are not capable of managing guests properly, and as long as the construction continues, getting a decent night’s sleep is simply not possible.

There is building construction next door and the jackhammers are VERY loud and woke us up every single day at 7 am. They also have very small rooms. The carpet was changed in the guest hallways during our visit so we also got to deal with bare floors, hammering and stapling in the hall right outside of our room for 2 days of our stay. The staff was helpful though, especially Arturo and the nice lady from Brazil whose name escapes us. But please give them both a bonus as they made a prickly hotel a little bit easier.

To start with the positive, the beds in this hotel are comfy, the staff is really nice and helpful, the internet is fast, and there is free, good-tasting coffee in the lobby 24/7. But, I must caution fellow travelers about my overall unpleasant experience. I was visiting NYC for a week, for a work conference. I had anticipated a relaxing and productive trip, but there was so much construction-related noise in this hotel that both my work and my rest were ruined. All rooms on the west half of the building (which I was told includes all rooms with queen-sized beds) faces directly onto major construction that began, when I was there, before 8am and continued until at least 5pm. This construction was so loud that I couldn't work on polishing my conference presentation while in my room. As you can see in one of my photos, they are starting to dig a foundation on the adjoining lot. And the noise was insanely loud - like they're jackhammering through bedrock. If you plan to work in your room and are noise sensitive, or would like to sleep past 8am, keep this in mind before you decide to stay here. The project will clearly go on for a year or more. I used earplugs, and they didn't help at all. My thanks to the front desk staff, who at my request moved me on my second night to an east-facing room that did not directly face onto the construction site. But, suddenly some renovation in the hallways began, and so there was still the extremely loud noise of drilling, nailing and hammering filtering into my room all throughout the daytime. Honestly, these two construction projects together made my six night awful and left me more tired than I was when I arrived in NYC! Also, the slightly quieter room I was moved to was smaller (a full instead of a queen; less floor space, and smaller bathroom) but I was not refunded the difference in cost, paying for a full stay at the higher queen bed rate. The manager told me this was because someone else was "upgraded" to the noisy room I left, so I still had to pay the difference.

The place was perfect for a one night stay on New Year’s Eve. The room was clean. Staff was friendly. Great location. I would definitely stay here again. Of course I would need a larger room if I would be going with more than one person, but the room worked for this night.

Nice small hotel int the heart of heart of the Theatre district. Helpful staff. I was nervous as others complained about the size of the rooms. We had a deluxe King room and it was about average for NYC, and had a small fridge. It was plenty of space for a weekend stay. The bathroom was cramped but workable Complimentary coffee and tea 24 hours and a water bottle filling station. Room was clean. It was a good value for the location.

The room was beyond small, my wife is 4'11 and even she had to sit on the toilet sideways because there was no space. Sink was about 8" x 10" with NO counter. This was our 4th trip staying in midtown New York, this was the most expensive hotel we have stayed in. Location is good, and hotel is clean but make sure and check the square footage of your room, this looks like a closet someone decided to turn into a room.

Nice clean hotel close to theater district and Times Square. Subway station right on the corner. Only downside was the room was Tiny! My wife used ironing board for her suitcase and I put mine in the closet. Thought the $ 2 fee per bag was tacky after spending fournights with them cash only what. I thought was odd.

Took a birthday girls trip with my daughter and had a great stay. Staff was friendly. Rooms were small but comfortable. Very clean. Location on the edge of Times Square and had easy access to transportation and entertainment. Would definitely stay again.
