Room and hotel itself are perfect. Great location and room amenities. The breakfast was ok considering it was included in the price and that they are cooking for some many people, nothing exciting but filled a hole. Only negative experience was having already agreed with reception on 2 separate occasions (upon my arrival to the hotel and again the night before my meeting) that I could sit in the breakfast area in the middle of the night for a private meeting (I’m from the UK so the meeting was 3am US time), I was then met by a very rude (assume to be a manager?) staff member who was sat at the entrance to the breakfast area at a table with paperwork and when I politely informed him I was told I could sit and take a zoom call in the closed off/empty breakfast seating area he very rudely told me “no you’ll have to sit here” and pointed to the table next to him. I advised him it was more of a private meeting so would be grateful for some privacy and wouldn’t be a bother just sat at a table keeping to myself. He again insisted I either sit next Tim him or nothing at all. Very rude and unprofessional and I see no reason why I could have not sat a few tables away from him (still in sight of the staff). I could not use my room as my friend was sleeping naturally at 3am. Very frustrating after already ok’ing my request with multiple other members of staff at reception. I instead had to carry out my zoom meeting next to said manager/staff member, and it wasn’t a very comfortable experience so I only hope he felt just as uncomfortable as me.

I stay at this hotel every time I come to NY. The hotel is conveniently located, very clean and tons of amenities. But I choose this hotel because of the staff. They truly make me feel special. But I notice they treat every guest like that. I’d especially like to thank Francis at the front desk for always making sure my stay is perfect! I also want to give a shout out to the other’s at the front desk, Chris, Enzo, Brian, Zahid and Marlon. All of them do a great job greeting and assisting all the guests. Jessica the front desk manager and Vanja the General manager are doing a terrific job to keep such an amazing staff with very little turn over. There are many hotels in the area but if you’re looking for a large, clean room with tons of amenities and an amazing staff, Home 2 Suites in Long Island City is the place to stay!
