Jiufen is a very popular tourist destination with great views, however there are very few hotels in the area, most of the places here are all basically B&Bs. For those people who are interested in that kind of experience this is a great option. The view is great, especially from the "modern" room, but there is also a nice view from the common areas and the balcony. Reocmmend that you try to go on a nice day because then you will get more value from your stay, as there isn't much else to do around the b&b and you would probably be there primarily for the view. The staff are nice and speak good English. They also serve a Western style breakfast for free, which is convneient as there aren't any restaurants in the area. But you can walk to a bus station in about ten minutes that takes you into Jiufen so overall it's pretty accessible even without a car. Just remember it's not a hotel so you should have expectations of living in someone's house and with other people living there as normal.

The food is delicious, the room is large and beautifully decorated with good ingredients. You can watch the sunrise directly from the rest area outside the B&B!! Superb
