We took a taxi from the nearest station to Jiufen, but if you have a carry-on bag I recommend taking a taxi to the front of the hotel. It was hard to get up Jiufen with a carry-on bag.

Nice place to stay in Jiufen. Spectacular view for the sunrise from the Japanese-designed lounge. Good breakfast & welcome tea service.
Note: the hotel is quite uphill. So need to carry luggage on stiff stairs.

It was so clean and nice~ The facilities were good and the location was perfect. I checked in late but they kindly guided me, which made it even better.
