Check in went bizarrely unhinged and mismanaged. The next day management visited to rectify the horror. Overall service was above average in most departments. I rebooked because nothing is perfect and amendments were offered.

Royalton Fitness was awesome. Garrison's yoga classes are professionally executed and quite thrilling. My husband and I unexpectedly did multiple classes. This was our first yoga session and we definitely will be trying yoga again when we leave.

Let’s get a few things that seem to regularly pop up about this hotel. Yes, parts are tired, there needs to be a lick of paint in areas and a few bits of updating here and there! Did it affect my holiday….no. Some food in a couple of the speciality restaurants was a bit tepid, again didn’t really spoil anything, we just didn’t return. The hotel is really customer focused. I lost count of the time we filled in a survey or was checked on by a member of customer service. This is not a bad thing in my opinion. We made a comment (on a customer service form) about a broken piece of wood that was on the bridge near the pool. Skeptically I thought it would be filed away and ignored. No, we got a call, told what they planned to do and within 24hrs it was fixed. Now that’s good customer service. Speaking of customer service, ALL the staff we came in contact with were absolutely AMAZING! I can’t pick one out but everyone was friendly, enthusiastic and an absolute credit to the hotel and the department that they worked in. Personally, for me, the best places to eat were Dorado and Ocean Point. The buffet was great with lots of choice and different cuisines from around the world. Great entertainment and lots of it. The team went above and beyond one day when Hurricane Helene was lashing Negril with rain. They put on entertainment/food/games/free massages on in the reception meaning everyone sheltering from the rain wasn’t bored. Again, the staff made this holiday for us.

Customer Service Department Royalton Negril Luxury Resort Negril, Jamaica Dear Royalton Negril Luxury Resort, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with our recent stay at the Royalton Hideaway Negril from October 4, 2024, to October 11, 2024. Over the years, my family and I have enjoyed multiple stays at various Royalton resorts booked via Costco Travel, including: - Royalton Negril - Swim-out room on 05/04/18 - Royalton Hideaway Montego Bay - Diamond Club Junior Suite on 03/15/19 - Royalton Punta Cana - Diamond Club Swim-out room on 02/02/20 - Royalton Hideaway Negril - Swim-out room on 08/13/23 - Royalton Hideaway Negril - Swim-out room on 10/04/24 Unfortunately, we have observed a continuous decline in the quality of food, beverage service, and overall maintenance at the resorts. Below are some of the specific issues we encountered during our recent stay: 1. **Food and Beverage Service:** - At the Calypso restaurant, the staff were inattentive, taking away our plates before we had finished eating. This issue was reported multiple times via the Royalton app with no significant improvement. - At Gratzi, the Italian restaurant, our waitress was unbelievably rude and aggressive. Despite our requests, she never returned to our table with the pepper or pepper flakes we requested. Additionally, we found the restaurant closed on several occasions, indicating our experience wasn’t isolated. - The buffet at Gourmet Marché has seen a decline in the quality and quantity of food over the years. Items, such as whipped cream, were consistently out of stock or unavailable during our visits. 2. **Towel Hut Service:** - We experienced refusal from the towel hut staff to grant us four towels, forcing us to walk to another hut to get the additional towels. 3. **Grounds Keeping:** - Groundskeepers mowed along the swim-out rooms twice during our one-week stay, causing the pool to be filled with grass clippings and small pebbles. We were even hit by pebbles while trying to relax on our patio area. - This was reported on 10/8 at 4 PM by calling 13004. Although a staff member attempted to clean it, the swim-out area remained dirty for the rest of our stay. 4. **Royalton App Issues:** - The app provided incorrect information about the operational times of amenities, such as the gym and spa. For instance, the gym closes at 8 PM, but the app indicated 6 PM. - Ocean Point was incorrectly listed as available only to Grand Lido members, although it is open to Hideaway members, making it impossible to make a dinner reservation once we realized this restaurant was an option. 5. **Spa Services:** - On 10/10/24, my wife and I had scheduled massages at 1 PM. While my Athletic massage by Arlene was excellent, my wife’s deep tissue massage was disappointing. The therapist appeared to be a novice or in training, and the service was unsatisfactory. This was the second instance of a disappointing massage experience for us at your resort

The room was lovely, the let down is the service you should have. Had to leave a note everyday to ask for coffee and to have the fridge restocked, which was supposed to be done daily. The second problem was the pool bar full of kids. Also the food was the same everyday, except one which was Jamaican day. The entertainment finished at 10pm, and the bars shut at 10/11pm.

Have not been on a week long vacation in over 10 years. Jamaica is of course beautiful and the amenities and staff here made it even better. The only downside is the lack of spice in some of the meals. It’s almost like they removed flavor to cater to the Brits 😊 If you book on the Hideaway side make sure you stop and chat with Victoria at the bar when checking in. Delightful person who probably knows more about the property than most. Have been to Jamaica in the past and have done lots of sightseeing. The goal this time was to enjoy the sun, beach and pool without worrying about a schedule. Mission accomplished. Overall, money well spent.

Our stay at Royalton Negril was nothing short of wonderful. We spent a week in a junior suite with a whirlpool bath, enjoying a breathtaking ocean view. The resort itself is stunning, with pristine white sand and crystal-clear waters. There’s a wide range of activities to keep you entertained, and the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. I want to extend a special thanks to Chef Gary and Chef Roberto for accommodating my halal dietary needs. The lamb and goat, sourced from New Zealand, were already halal, and they also offered halal chicken onsite, which made dining worry-free and enjoyable. The steakhouse restaurant was fantastic and there were a variety of ice creams/desserts at the onsite ice cream parlour. One of the highlights of our trip was waking up early to watch the sunrise on the beach. It was magical to see the sunrise. The resort is very close to Rick’s Cafe which we thoroughly enjoyed. While our stay was almost perfect, we did encounter a couple of minor issues. The air conditioning wasn’t working on the first night, but a technician came promptly the next morning to fix it. The water pressure was a little low, but it didn’t significantly affect our experience. FYI, if you want to travel around Jamaica, most excursions are in Montego Bay or Ocho Rios which are quite far from Negril so keep this in mind. Overall, I highly recommend Royalton Negril to anyone considering it!
