Customer Service Department Royalton Negril Luxury Resort Negril, Jamaica Dear Royalton Negril Luxury Resort, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with our recent stay at the Royalton Hideaway Negril from October 4, 2024, to October 11, 2024. Over the years, my family and I have enjoyed multiple stays at various Royalton resorts booked via Costco Travel, including: - Royalton Negril - Swim-out room on 05/04/18 - Royalton Hideaway Montego Bay - Diamond Club Junior Suite on 03/15/19 - Royalton Punta Cana - Diamond Club Swim-out room on 02/02/20 - Royalton Hideaway Negril - Swim-out room on 08/13/23 - Royalton Hideaway Negril - Swim-out room on 10/04/24 Unfortunately, we have observed a continuous decline in the quality of food, beverage service, and overall maintenance at the resorts. Below are some of the specific issues we encountered during our recent stay: 1. **Food and Beverage Service:** - At the Calypso restaurant, the staff were inattentive, taking away our plates before we had finished eating. This issue was reported multiple times via the Royalton app with no significant improvement. - At Gratzi, the Italian restaurant, our waitress was unbelievably rude and aggressive. Despite our requests, she never returned to our table with the pepper or pepper flakes we requested. Additionally, we found the restaurant closed on several occasions, indicating our experience wasn’t isolated. - The buffet at Gourmet Marché has seen a decline in the quality and quantity of food over the years. Items, such as whipped cream, were consistently out of stock or unavailable during our visits. 2. **Towel Hut Service:** - We experienced refusal from the towel hut staff to grant us four towels, forcing us to walk to another hut to get the additional towels. 3. **Grounds Keeping:** - Groundskeepers mowed along the swim-out rooms twice during our one-week stay, causing the pool to be filled with grass clippings and small pebbles. We were even hit by pebbles while trying to relax on our patio area. - This was reported on 10/8 at 4 PM by calling 13004. Although a staff member attempted to clean it, the swim-out area remained dirty for the rest of our stay. 4. **Royalton App Issues:** - The app provided incorrect information about the operational times of amenities, such as the gym and spa. For instance, the gym closes at 8 PM, but the app indicated 6 PM. - Ocean Point was incorrectly listed as available only to Grand Lido members, although it is open to Hideaway members, making it impossible to make a dinner reservation once we realized this restaurant was an option. 5. **Spa Services:** - On 10/10/24, my wife and I had scheduled massages at 1 PM. While my Athletic massage by Arlene was excellent, my wife’s deep tissue massage was disappointing. The therapist appeared to be a novice or in training, and the service was unsatisfactory. This was the second instance of a disappointing massage experience for us at your resort
