At first glance, a quaint country hotel with a beautiful location with a view of the Alps, great. Outside, a few rustic tables and benches to relax on. Nice reception, family-run country hotel with attentive service. It felt like the son was wearing the trousers, mom was serving and dad was standing behind the stove with an apron as a cook. As I said, very nice people. That's it for the positive points, you also have to be honest and say openly what is NOT OK...: The furnishings in the rooms are awful, not even 80-year-olds would find that OK anymore, ancient cupboards and not the nice kind. That has nothing to do with rustic either, it all looks awful. The mattresses on the beds are far too soft and apparently just foam, death for any back. No air conditioning. No free water in the room, is that standard!? Especially at 32 degrees Celsius. The carpets/rugs felt like they were from the 60s/70s. Disaster. Musty, nothing fits together, not nice. Breakfast: they tried to make the best of it, but it didn't work at all. The coffee was stale and bitter, hardly any choice, there wasn't even milk for the cereal. Nobody refills it when something is empty and you have to keep asking. Uiuiui. There are only hard-boiled eggs, and when we asked for some scrambled eggs we were told: unfortunately not possible (?!). Why? The kitchen felt like 80 square meters, why can't you quickly throw some scrambled eggs in the pan as a service?! Embarrassing. No attention to detail, crocheted doilies and jam from small plastic containers should be thrown in the trash please. Where is the fresh jam, homemade by mum?! Conclusion: Despite the lovely owners and the beautiful view... just don't book, the whole house needs to be completely renovated. Sorry.
