Evitate!! 4stelle cadenti! Esperienza pessima. Personale incompetente, falso e opportunista. Mai chiesto scusa per un sacco di cose che non sono andate. Al check-in, dopo un ****** enorme per le camere che non corrispondevano a Booking, ci hanno comunicato che l’area relax sarebbe stata aperta dalle 16 fino alle 21: peccato che il cenone di capodanno iniziava alle 18.30, ed essendo le 17 avremmo dovuto scegliere. Al giorno seguente ovviamente non si poteva. Questa limitazione deve essere indicata sul sito. In camera termosifoni spenti nonostante il 31.12. Arrivare in camera e in bagno e doversi fare la doccia al freddo non è da 4 stelle! Ho dovuto accenderlo da me! Il flusso dell’acqua scarso per cui La doccia è stata un pena. Abbiamo comunicato sin dalla prenotazione (con telefonate e mail) l’allergia al pesce di una mia amica. Ci hanno rassicurato che ne avrebbero tenuto conto. Cosa le hanno portato come primo piatto? Il pesce, nella salsa tonnata. Senza scusarsi ne portare un piatto in sostituzione hanno portato via il piatto dopo numerose nostre osservazioni. La seconda portata (tartare di salmone ) l’hanno sostituita con un’insalata verde..scadente! Gestito male e senza professionalità. Non vale minimamente quanto costa! Andate altrove! La camera si salva perché spaziosa e nuova e pulita.

Breakfast is very ordinary European hotel breakfast. The environment and service of the hotel is really good: the heated indoor swimming pool, the great outdoor leisure equipment and the superb views. Highly recommended!

Surprise hotel in the mountains is too beautiful, the air is fresh, the twin room is small, the extra bed can not be clean, there is a free parking in the yard, self-driving, no car will arrive without transportation but have seen it.

Probably my 10th stay at this hotel. It’s been rather rustic and run by the same family for ages. However the pandemic has changed things - some for the better some for the worse Better - easier passage from main entrance to rooms in the east wing and spa - well functioning free parking Worse - all staff seem new and not very well trained - on check out the bill included my already prepaid room and the lady did not, at first, understand that this was wrong - renovated room. Nowhere to place clothes etc. No shelves- no cupboards. Glass “door” to bathroom with 30 cm open space at top and bottom. Weird, even when traveling w spouse. Very cold, icy electrical light in room. You hear other rooms very well. We twice woke up 5 45 from an alarm clock somewhere else. Never happened in any hotel room before.

We originally had our main hotel stay booked in Hintertux. We were paying a lot for the hotel and after considering our long journey from Australia, we figured it may make sense to stay close to the airport at Innsbruck for our first day to get some sleep and continue our journey to Hintertux the next morning. We saved quite a bit of money making this decision and made a great choice! We walked to Penz West from the airport with four suitcases and four back packs. It was five minutes on foot and that was in thick snow! The room was way beyond our expectations for a hotel so close to the airport. It was very spacious, beautifully decorated and included breakfast that was simply magnificent. The hotel also had a wellness area including sauna, steam room, cold plunge shower and a gym. The price was extremely reasonable given all it had to offer us. The staff were very helpful and gave us some local tips about the town of Innsbruck (beautiful Christmas markets) and some mountain trips. We were too tired to do the mountain trips but enjoyed Innsbruck. We could easily have spent more time in this beautiful place and would not hesitate to book Penz West again if we are travelling this route. Mr 11 and 12 year old loved this place!

Great hotel! Well located to walk along the river into the Old Town. Standard rooms not huge but very well presented and looks like everything was new. Cosy reception area and bar. The staff were super friendly and when we checked in gave us a voucher for a complimentary drink at the bar and when we got to our room we found little Milka chocolates had been left on the pillow which was a really nice touch. Breakfast was also good – variety of things both hot and cold on offer. We would definitely stay here again.

Foreign channels no subtitles available Major building work close by they start work @6am ( this is not the fault of the hotel) but wakes you up. No fridge . We left our drinks outside on the balcony to keep cold. I also brought food from thr UK which I had to throw away due to no fridge Hotel has no bar, despite the outside hotel sign advertising bar. Hotel is 100meters up a steep hill from the bus stop and 200 meters to the village of Igls where there are a few places to eat, shop and hire your ski equipment, but is hardwork walking up this hill when you have been sking alday. The hotel room door does not lock, you need to use your key to lock the door from the inside, unless you ask for a second key, this could be a safeguarding concern as if someone wanted to stay in the room and the other person went out with the key, the door would remain unlocked, if you lock the door from the outside, you can't open it from the inside. I booked this hotel Purley for the ski in ski out, unfortunately when we arrived at the hotel I was told that this is not the case, the management having been trying to let the travel company know about this but stated they have had no response. The manager was very welcoming and helpful, and stated he changed our room to face the snowed mountains which was nice.if you want breakfast you have to notify him the previous evening and will be charged 14 euros per person per day, we declined. The manager emailed us the link for free bus travel to the ski station and into innsbruck town. We were only given 1 key which we had to keep with us whenever we left the hotel, this was because reception is only open at certain times of the day and evening and is not 24hours.As already mentioned, the hotel is 100 meters down a hill to get the free bus and a further 100 meters to
